so if the Rockets want JVG and JVG wants to coach the Rockets than what's the hold up?

Not sure what is the hold up. Maybe the Rockets are waiting for JVG to return to Houston after commentating on Eastern Conference Finals which will start on Tuesday.

That doesn't sound right... He's an announcer and i'm sure he has an out clause in his contract for a coaching job...

The only other I can think of is there is another assistant out there that is in the playoffs that they want to talk too..

That's what I was thinking but he's calling the finals too. They might announce it tomorrow before the game and then let him get the Rockets some good press going into the summer while he's still on tv

I wonder if Clutch purposefully used that picture on the home screen with Jeff VG in the shot...haha

Maybe JVG asked to wait until the conference finals are over so he doesn't have to talk about it while he's commentating? Focus on the game not his story?

Maybe JVG is waiting to see if the Dwight bails. If Dwight bails, JVG probaly don't want to coach small ball because his specialty is managing big man. One thing for sure, Morey is not going anywhere.

I think Rockets will hire Jeff Van Gundy, since he only wants to coach Houston.

So I assume the Rockets don't have to hire him hurriedly.

There you go people, this is what you get if Morey leaves the Rockets, Les making decisions like bringing Pringles to the Rockets 10 years after him was done being relevant.

It sounds like that's what we get even if Morey is here.

I guess Les still doesn't like JVG's style of play, if this is true. I wonder if that's why we haven't heard about a JVG interview or at least an invite yet. All the "high on the Rockets' list" may have nothing to do with Les. Guess I'll just sit here and wait to find out. :(

Would be a really dumb decision.

MDA has failed miserably in two different high profile stops since JVG last coached.

Why couldn't Carmelo be like Nash? Or why couldn't Kobe be like Nash?

Let's face it...he was only great because Nash was great.
