The more I think about this the stranger is seems. Moran's not on the 40-man so they have to make a roster move...
There's plenty of expendable players on the 40 man (Fields,Peacock and Kratz jump to mind), but it could also mean Marwin's injury is 60 day worthy.
Haha, clearly, I didn't remember him being a lefty either  If he plays, guess his assignment got a little tougher than with 4 lefties coming up over the next 6 days.

Or, the more it makes sense that a trade or "unexpected" DFA is coming. Luhnow has been public in his displeasure with Gomez lately. Maybe he found a taker or just had enough and DFA'd (hard to imagine still). That would leave us with 4 OFs, counting Kemp. And 5 IFs, 2 Cs, 1 DH (White). Fairly balanced with Marwin's ability to jump to LF as needed. Could also see a Valbuena trade (but not DFA given that he might be getting hot right now)...but seems less likely.
Which is what we can do, except 80% of the time when its full, we strike out. All I ask is that we put the ball in play.
Not effectively. If they need a SS I'm almost positive Valbuena would be the first option with Moran moving to 3rd.
Hinch: Kemp is coming; not ready to make any other announcements Time for us to mix a few things up and get guys in the league who haven't been here before. Difficulty with our team is we've played just well enough to lose by a little The difficulty in my job or Jeff's job is patience vs. pushing the right buttons to try different things. A lot of these guys were on our playoff team and deserve to work through their slump. Sometimes though, you need to see what the eyes tell you and what the information tells you. Kemp? Versatile enough to do different things. Predominantly outfield. More like a bench utility player. Marwin? He was limping around pretty badly. X-rays negative. Hopefully available tonight. We'll find out when we get to the ballpark. Evan Gattis? Did everything he needed to do behind the plate (at CC). DH tonight. He's our backup catcher. We'll test it out.
I don't know why they are being so cryptic with the official announcement. If he hopes Marwin can play tonight, then that's not the move. Either White/Marisnick are getting demoted or something is happening on the Valbuena or Gomez front.
Roto world is reporting that Hinch just said on 790 that Marwin is available tonight and that he couldn't release anything else yet Didn't hear it myself just what they are reporting
