Maybe. But if we can get DMO on the cheap I would see what he has. Maybe I am in the minority. But it looked like he was ready for a breakout season prior to going down last year. I really wonder if he was healthy how this team would have faired against golden state last year. Yea. We would have probably lost but i wonder if it would have been closer / more encouraging which could have made a world of difference going in to the off season. What if what if what if.

    Yes this.

Plus, isn't the fascination with Horford to do with the suggestion that Durant wants to play with him?

When did DMo carry the team? He did his part in his role whe n healthy and when be got minutes. But he's not the player to carry a team. Has he ever gotten 30 points in a game? Has he ever delivered on consecutive post-ups in the last 2 minutes? He's not that guy. He's a role player....who sometimes draws a double team, which makes him unique

Agreed on this. Would be a very good fit for this team. Expensive, no doubt, but if we signed him there's almost zero downside from a basketball standpoint.

That said, I've been following him closely since his rookie year. He'll get you points, but he's not a go-to-scorer. Something to keep in mind for a team that's looking to move away from our 'Harden ISO, dribble penetrate and kick out' predictable offensive philosophy.

He can hit the mid-range jumper all-day which fits with what we do in pick and pop/roll. Harden and Horford are a great duo. Horford is also developing a decent 3 pt shot like Millsap has.

Horford will be good for awhile because he doesn't rely on super athleticism. He's a smart player who has good skills. He's a better David West.

I have no problems at all re-signing D-Mo for around MLE as he can play the 4/5 depending on matchups. Jones is worthless.

He's a high-energy guy in his early-30's. Not sure how much longer he has. He's also a bit undersized.

    Short? Yes.

Undersized? No. Look at his hips. Dude is built like a mule.

But age is now a factor.

Real GM reported that our top choice is Horford too.

They're all regurgitating the same thing SportingNews first reported.

I dont undertstand their infatuation with Melo. He hasn't done jack to even get a top 8 seed in a crappy East. I dont think Butler and Harden would mesh well. I think Griffin and Harden can work pretty well together tho.

My personal preference would be Horford and Conley or Batum in FA signings - if they can get Anderson as well, that would be pretty awesome. Not sure how or if the $$$ work.

I'm sure any trade deal would need to include Ariza's salary. Would need to add another 3 and D to replace Ariza.

He won't be cheap, and he wont play a full season. Lower back problems kill an athlete's career!

Looks like one source is quoting another. Didn't Sporting News mention this first? Or are they the same entity?

These targets do make sense, even though we can argue how much we'd improve with them. Horford might buy in for the Spanish language market (maybe he can get Llull to come over, but pretend I didn't mention it, since I ain't's gowanns to hold my breath). Anderson can shoot the three (but not too much else, perhaps).

We do still need another combo guard who can keep the ball moving.
