The show had already indicated this, but it is nice for them to show it off.

It looked off to me too. It definitely looked like her body, but I figured they must have used a previous scene or something to recreate it. Very surprised it was actually her because it looked so off.

Of course he knows Jon won't give up Sansa, but he knows he can draw them to Winterfell, which is supposed to be easily defended. He also wants to avoid attacking the Castle Black, as it very hard to overcome the Wall, and it would come with a lot of political pitfalls.

Yet we still had to hear the titles from Tyrion, ugh.

Of course Cersei is planning to double cross them. I'm wondering if what she told the Small Council was even what Tommen told to her (I assume it was off camera for a reason). Seems like if what she says is true, she would have been able to motivate Tommen to bring this plan to his uncle.

I dont think the issue are her accomplishments ... or the lack there of. What many tend to forget is this series was based off a very successful book series, not some off-the-cuff crappy hollywood series designed to drag the series out for as long as possible.
That said, Daenerys has always been understood as one of the primary heroes of the show who's role is to save the world. John Snow is of course another, which is why anyone who understands the show knows that John Snow was going to be resurrected.

The problem with Daenerys is two fold; The first is Emilia Clarke is a sub-par actress, given her role as Jesus Christ. This compounds into the next issue; She becomes largely irrelevant after getting her eunuch army until the end of the series. GRRM did a sub-par job keeping her relevant in the books as well, so combined with Clarkes crappy acting and meh material, Daererys scenes become a complete bore.

Lets see how she does with her new armies of Drothraki and the unsullied and dragons. Tyrion has setup her exodus out of Maureen by having the slave traders stand down. Its time for her to conquer Westros and defeat the white walkers with John.

I'm pretty sure that Dany is still mortal...she's just immune to fire. Maneuvering, infiltrating, and betrayal can still get her killed.

It looked like cgi or something to me too, but she has come out and said it wasn't a body double or cgi. That was her.

I thought she had a new clause in her contract saying no more nude scenes. Go figure.

Theon or Sansa I'm hoping for, but my guess is Jon's Direwolf gets to finish him off. Revenge for the "baby" (Fat b*stard accent)

Oh, I don't think that's possible... as we're merely reminded of that with every other discussion point.

Of course there was CGI in general... she was not actually standing anywhere close to a fire.

Her whole body was superimposed onto the scene... face/t***/everything. It was going to look off regardless. (as opposed to the scene from season 1, where there was only a smoldering fire, so there was no need for full CGI there).

I think she does, but made an exception, as this scene certainly called for it.

Ramsay is going to win the Game of Thrones.

My real guess is someone will betray him the way he basically has to everyone else.

I don't think that was ever true or actually confirmed. It was rumored that someone had a clause, Oona Chapman had mentioned something, and everyone assumed it was Clarke.

I think the reason looks a little off is because of the fire effects behind her, fire is always tricky to CGI and then have someone super imposed on top of it.

The guy who plays Ramsay was runner up to be Jon Snow. Ramsay is a much better actor than the guy who plays Jon snow. I think he would have made a better snow. Kind of sad that he lost the part.

I'm not. He is great as Ramsay, and Kit is fine as Jon.

Maybe they played up the rumor so they could get more of an effect out of that scene. Same with the unburnt thing -- talking about how it was a one-time thing so that people would be surprised when she did it again.

I wonder if she goes back to Mereen. She tells the khals that Drogo was going to conquer Westeros and that their little raiding expeditions were small time. So maybe she's not heading back, or only intends to go to Mereen to get on the boats (which have been burnt since she left) and fetch her dragons (which have been released). For Tyrion's storyline to make any sense, he needs to find the resolution himself to take control of the city. A Dothraki horde coming to solve the problem at sword point would undermine all that -- and would probably be a bad thing for all the slaves in the other slaver cities.

But then who would play Ramsay? This guy was BORN to play Ramsay.

So damn true. The episode wasn't shy about outlining the coming conflict in Essos => Tyrion vs Dany

So, what will it be? Does Tyrion gain the favor of the slaver cities through his diplomacy and leads them once Dany returns? No way in hell will she forgive Tyrion for working with the Masters/Sons of the Harpy. That appears to be his only recourse (unless he finds a way back to Westeros).

    ----

We are also setting up for (another) showdown at Winterfell
The Vale + Wildlings (+Castle Black?) vs Umbers + Boltons

What's intriguing about this is whether or not our old friend Walder Frey shows up. This could be the only way he regains favor in the North while also getting revenge on Ramsay.

BTW, it seemed very odd that Littlefinger was well aware of Sansa's movements. We assumed that him marrying her to Ramsay had a hidden motive, and things didn't go according to plan because all hell broke lose. Perhaps he never had control and this was just a poor decision. Either way, it's disappointing to see one of the show's strongest elements having a limited role (so far).

    ---------

A couple of positives that I enjoyed was the show directly addressing a few points before it's too late: Brienne explicitly stating that she won't forget about Renly's assassination and Mellisandre remaining conflicted about Stannis + Shireen.

My point is that the show could have easily brushed the Brienne story to the side and lazily presented Mellisandre as being reverted to her old fanatical, overconfident self after demonstrating the Lord of Light's power.

Instead, with a few lines of dialogue, both characters' stories were enriched.

Arya would be the perfect person since he's seemingly untouchable.

I understand that a lot of people got board with her taking an extended stay in Meeren but it seems absolutely natural that she would. She freed the slaves there and they refer to her as Mother. Even though her heart is set on going to Westerns she feels responsible for the people she freed in Meeren and she knows they have little to no chance once she leaves.

Hoping someone would know, but didn't Walder Frey let Catelyn Stark kill his own relatives without any remorse? Back in the Red Wedding episode if my memory is correct. Don't think we will see the Freys involved. Hope Asha helps Theon get his mojo back so the Iron Islands can march onto Winterfell but I think that's a long shot.
