Really good episode. Dany finally did something besides recite her self-appointed titles. Glad they didn't dance around Jon and Sansa reuniting. Tyrells and Lannisters joining against the High Sparrow will be good, but of course Cersei is probably planning a double cross against Uncle and Tyrells. My only complaint is the Vale. Littlefinger has the lord wrapped around his finger, but all knights were mindless automatons other than the general. I guess they do follow the lord's orders without thinking, but you'd think the general would have loyal guards and that someone else would be on his side when he saw right through Littlefinger's BS.
Yep, cant stand her.... she does have a nice rack however. Maybe she start doing all her scenes topless.
You are right, I am being picky. However, compared to the previous episode where everybody and their mother knew Jon Snow was going to be brought back by red, this was really good.
She's like that star player that not only has all the talent, but lucks into the perfect team loaded with talent... Yet still hasn't won anything yet. She can freakin repel fire. She has dragons under her control. She can also use her feminine side to lure men into a false sense of thinking. Lastly, she just lucked into one of the better political advisors who has a direct link to the world she wants to conquer. On paper, this game should be a blowout... And yet everybody is still in it due to her largely immature ways and indecisiveness.
Yep, must be. Or, everything changed once the head of the house died... As has been a similar case with the other houses under *new* leadership.
Agreed. It all seems so unearned. It happens because. . . .. story Basically. She is still an annoying arrogant character They should start simply calling her Dany Christ the Chosen One Once again they got the brown people at feet of the pale woman. She just got a army of thousands . . .again . . . and didn't really have to anything to get but push some fire pots over? GTFOH They are soooooooo close to the shark Now. Rocket River
It's been progressing to this. Ever since she walked down those steps in the Vale wearing that black dress she has bee progressing to this. Even last season with some of her conversations with Theon prior to jumping off the wall it has been leading to this. She realizes that much of this is the result of her stupid spoiled decisions as a girl that helped get her father killed and helped cause her brothers and sister to be separated for so long. Now she wants to atone and now she also wants revenge. Jon is still trying to get passed being murdered by the people he trusted and lived with as brothers. Just like Sansa helped give Theon the strength to run from Ramsey, she is going to have to give Jon the strength to get past the betrayal of his sworn brothers.
Remember that were talking about the same unhinged little boy that nursed straight from his moms t*** for 10 years. He is the same unhinged boy that prefers throwing people from the Moon Door for the fun of it rather than serving justice. If you are going to go against him, you sure as hell better be sure that everyone else is on your side or that you have the ability to sprout wings. By the way, I predict that before the series is over, Little Finger will fly out of the Moon Door. The one person that Robin likes more than Little Finger is Sansa and if Sansa ever gets the chance to tell him how his mother really died then Petyr Bailish will certainly die.
Yeah, it's like Hillary Clinton in the primaries?* Some of ya'll are so damn picky. If some woman with awesome B-cups walked, unscathed, naked out of fire, you can bet a bunch of unlettered oafs would worship her. * - Btw: Written by a heterosexual American white male Hillary supporter. I think there are five of us in existence. Including Bill Clinton. Carry on.
I think you guys (including Rocket River) are in a huge minority here. I think most people loved the scene. While Danny has been annoying to many at times throughout the series (not me of course) she has also had many epic victories. - Season 1 first fire scene where she earns her first khalasar and army (although way small). - Season 2 after losing her Dragons Danny recaptures them and unleashes them on the house of the undying. - Season 3 She tricks the masters of Astapor (largely due to outwitting them) gets her 1st legitimately powerful army and sacks the city using her dragons. - Season 3 She also sacks Yunkai during this season - Season 4 She not only sacks Meereen but becomes it's leader - Season 5 she got a little stale up to the point that she rode her dragon out of Meeren to escape the sons of the harpy. - Season 6 she kills the leaders of the Dorthraki in a way that is consistent with who she is and what her capabilities are. I would say Danny has had many victories including those on the battle field as well as having to use her smarts. Don't forget that she was completely smart enough to stay quiet and act ignorant in Astapor as Kraznys mo Nakloz was referring to her as w**** and slut in the High Valerian language thinking she did not speak it. It was that deception that helped allow her to deceive him and take control of the unsullied and sack Astapor. Danny's ignorance at Meeren has been a learning experience but has also been essential IMO to her getting the rest of the Dothraki hoard on her side as well as securing the services of Tyrion which I think will be key as she advances into Westeros. What Danny is doing at this point is pretty epic. If burning the Dothraki leaders and taking control of the Dothraki hoard is jumping the shark then the show jumped the shard after the 1st season when she hatched her Dragons and became the unburnt.
The actress they got to play Theon's sister is one homely girl. She is not going to be pretty at all once she ages a few years.
I actually didn't mind it... I thought it was a decent scene and would certainly lead to her developing an even larger following (even though it is a recycled plot device that was already used... in order for her to gain a following). Just trying to make an analogy as to why others may not like the character all that much anymore. Its clear she knows now what she is capable of.... if she's happy being the ruler of some obscure part of the world, so be it. If she wants to take over what she feels is rightly hers, she needs to get on with it... but no more wasting time in the minors. Overall, this event *should* advance her story/narrative exponentially.... then again, her advisors are still back on the other side making hesitant 7 year deals and getting blow-back from small gaggles of dissenters.
I say jumping the shark because ..... What attracted me to the show was the political intrigue and dealings That is all but gone from the show now Dany is as much a blunt object as Ramsey If Ramsey was fire proof you know he'd do that every other day. From here on it is a superior power equal win type thing No more maneuvering . It was good to see Littlefinger again though. After the final scene, no way in hell Dany will abide by Tyrions deal Rocket River
