So top 5 based on Codman's post:
    - JVG
    - Vogel
    - D'antoni (cringe)
    - Finch
    - unknown assistant who was not a former player

JVG/Vogel or bust! This org hasn't earned enough trust to pull another unconventional hire ala McHale.

I think Blatt is the outlier.

I am in general agreement with this. JVG and Vogel aren't ideal, but they are better than the rest. The reason I'm leaning toward JVG is because he can challenge Les and Morey.

I would settle for Mike, Dan and Tony.

D'antoni is Leslie's wet dream so wouldn't be surprised.

Just saw a report where Phil Jackson has interviewed Vogel. Rambis may not be a forgone conclusion after all.

I'm thinking Codman's reference to "the Birds, both kinds" must be:

    Hawks: Al Horford

Pelicans: Ryan Anderson (God knows we ain't gonna take Asik off their hands)

I think this is right. And if we had both in the fold it would probably put us back on the map. But we still have a point guard problem and we're gonna be competing with the entire league for those guys; the team that gets them will have overpaid. So we're not likely to get both and getting one won't be enough to move the needle. Sorry to be so pessimistic but I just don't see this franchise being saved trough free agency. We're gonna have to get a lot more creative than that.

Saw JB Bickerstaff at Penas Donut Heaven in Pearland this morning. He was with his kids so I didn't bother him. Rough not to know where you will be working next year.

I don't think Anderson is a good choice, like, at all, and i don't see him as a Morey move...i think there's a good chance that some team is going to throw big money for Anderson, but i don't see Morey pay a guy like him...and i hope to be right.

Slow, chucker, one of the worst defenders in the league, meh rebounder...can't run, can't pass...you just don't want to pay this guy.

    D.Mo at 8/10x >>> Anderson at 15/18 all day.

you should have at very least thanked him because with no experience he did try his best. Its just players couldnt buy into him. I would wish him luck elsewhere

You might be right about Anderson, but if I stick with my Pelicans guess.....I don't know what other players they have that we want. Most are injury-prone.

Unless we want to go with the Jurassic Park "dinosaurs were like birds" thing and include the Raptors. And that's a roster well worth raiding.

    G.d. Codman's riddles anyway. :)

That reminds me when D-Mo got traded and notified when he was dining at the Cheesecake Factory.

Also, it does suck for JB but come on. He's got a guaranteed asst. coaching job for some team in the bag; it's not like he's in danger of getting tossed out into the street.

    Eh, you're right.

Personally i think Holiday is a perfect fit next to Harden but:

    - is he available?

    - are we ok with another injury prone player?

I would love to hear something by Codman about Holiday in fact

Why wouldn't the Rockets want Asik? Especially if Howard is gone. He's much better at playing with Harden than Dwight is/was.
