I hear you. The team just hasn't been the same in a long while and I agree guys like Gomez can throw chemistry on a ball club off. People are thinking Gomez right now is a lesser of two evils between he and Jake but I believe it's the other way around. Gomez has way more negatives with him at this point. He's a head case.

Devenski had established his pattern as a "slow" starter. Often, with spotty control and his stuff looks like a shell of what he was throwing out of the bullpen.

He's bounced back... in every single start.... to end up going a good amount of innings and giving up very little else, but he's got to find that perfect balance of control/stamina to start games.

Reminds of McHugh, who if he could have good first innings would be a very good starter.

I think McHugh's problems are that he often questions his feel of the off-speed stuff to start games... and his fastball/cutter simply aren't good enough without the good curveball.

I wouldn't mind Devenski's slow starts... if we already didn't know he was a tremendous bullpen pitcher thus far.

With the bullpen gassed, and everybody besides Harris has shown shaky moments, it may not be the best time to have a 6 man rotation (but if they're worried about LMJ's need for rest, I suppose its somewhat necessary).

Wow... Ashby called a fly ball off the bat right, for once.

Can't simply go by the Valbuena bat-flip... he bat-flips for every solid contact, regardless whether its a single, double, HR, or an OUT.

Until Red Sox show they have pitching I don't think they are real contenders.

Very quietly, this team is starting to crush the ball again routinely.

Would absolutely be nothing wrong if this year mirrored last season... except in reverse.

Serious question ! Why is Tucker on this team? If big Bieber can't hit or field why is he not in the minors?
