Why are attractive females politicians tend to lean right?

Perhaps the right wing political machine focuses on appearance over substance?

I personally find nearly all the right wing female journalist down on the same level as Keith Olbermann.

Female Democratic voters fall into the following categories:

1. Low income minorities who want freebies
2. Visitors from the Island of Lesbos
3. Young, single women without children, life responsibilities, or real world experience
4. A very small but vocal group of highly educated, ugly, and often overweight females who don't like men because men have little use for ugly women. Member of this group are often attorneys and live in the northeast. Significant overlap with Category 2.
5. Lunatic fringe environmentalists who have hairy legs and rarely wear makeup. They think the answer to every societal problem is more bike paths and solar panels on roofs.

There are attractive females in some of the buckets above -- specifically 1 and 3. But most of the conservative personalities that you see on TV are 30+ years old, so by then they have kids and families and realize that jobs, security, tax policy, religion, and family values matter to them. So they switch to being Republicans.

 

God creates some of his creatures more beautiful than others to spread the message of Jesus, salvation and America to his followers. It is easier to listen and trust a good looking person.

Probably because the left care about intellectualism and put more emphasis on women political figures that embody that, whereas the right cares more about positions and articulation of those positions, so beauty plays a more prominent role (better messenger).

Also the right is generally more patriarchal.

This is not true for the general public. As some have already said, the majority of Hollywood swings left so you could just post all the beautiful actresses and entertainers to debunk this thread.

You do have a point with Fox News vs other networks but this is simply a hiring principle of Fox. I remember this being the case when comparing Fox sports with other sports channels.

It also says something about their constituency if attractiveness means anything to anyone.

 

First of all, the entire top half of the picture is media personalities who are chosen specifically because people want to drink their bathwater. The bottom half of the picture is a bunch of writers, bloggers, comediennes, elected officials, etc. People who have clearly not gained celebrity based on how they look.

And if you're going to put random interweb liberals like Milo Stewart and Trigglypuff on here, then you need to be fair and put up their conservative equivalents.
