Castro is so smart. That quick move to get up and make that tag to sell the swing. He is a smart baseball player.
well, color me delightfully shocked. hell of a win, but it's nothing if we get rocked the rest of the road trip. make this your turning point, boys.
Springer on fire, OBP machine and has turned around the RISP numbers as well. Hinch with two pretty decent managing jobs over the last 3 games. Bullpen starting to round into form.

4 game series Also, I'll say it again... Hinch can't give up on Gomez. As sad as it is, Marisnick is actually worse at the plate. Tucker is much worse on defense. He has to keep Gomez in the lineup until another option comes. I hope he never DH's again though. I mean, I understand the idea, maybe the rest on defense will allow him to focus more at the plate... but it didn't work.
springer was what a 7th grader when the red sox rid themselves of the bambino curse and today he whacked the green monster. cool stuff.
For tonight you can at least give Giles credit. You focus on the stat but what I saw was a pitcher making close pitches to Ramirez, and then getting the out he needed. And he did it all in a high pressure situation.
That's one way to spin it.
