It seems like WOJ or Marc Stein (the only 2 that have been on the coaching news so far- have not tweeted about the Rockets Coach search in the past days..

Just seems like they are due for an update: Maybe we get some news soon

So the decision depends solely on the Rockets? Cyberx told us that Morey wanted to move fast, but he didnt mention anything about what kind of offer we might give Vogel nor any mention about Vogel's intentions. Isn't it possible that the Rox have moved fast and we already gave Vogel an offer and he declined or is thinking about it? People continuously repeat that Les is super cheap, maybe Vogel wants to see if he can get more $$$ elsewhere and Morey at this time is not allowed to offer a better deal. Maybe Morey does want him but Les doesnt. There are plenty of things that may be happening that we just dont know.

Of course There is also the possibility that Cyberx is full of BS.

At the end of the day it depends on what you chose to believe. I dont think he is lying, The information he gave us makes sense, nothing he said is far fetched, and if it doesn't happen it probably doesn't mean it wasn't true, maybe it just means that the situations didn't work out which could be for many different reasons we might never ever know.

I don't know why some on here, veteran members and rookies alike, jump on verified insiders when what they're providing us doesn't come true. If you're a functioning adult with a real world job then you know that whatever gossip you and your coworkers talk about regarding your company/industry could be true or something changed its course to not be true.

I don't think cyberx has ever stood by any of his insider information as a "this WILL happen" or "this WON'T happen" and I appreciate that coming from an insider because bias is not there.

The people that deserve venom are the ones that put their own personal beliefs into their "insider" information and/or makes definitive statements to the very end but don't back it up when things go the opposite direction.

So Dwight gets to pick his new coach in Orlando? I wonder if J.B gets a look.

Let's just hope he is not going to make the Rockets offense to be like the Pacers. Man, that offense is ugly.

Harden is the offense, and as long as the coach lets Harden lead the offense, the team will remain a top 10 efficient offense. Vogel would be hired to repair the defense.

Wish we had a chance at Slotts. Probably the best coach not under contract. I know he's going back to Portland, but if there was even a glimmer of hope, I'd hold out for him. Probably one of the top 10 coaches in the league, and one of those rare "difference makers".

And that's the problem... No 1 man can beat 5 and dang sure can't win a championship.

Jordan couldn't do it... Wilkins couldn't do it.... Hakeem couldn't do it...

You need a coach to get this team to play as a TEAM on the OFFENSIVE and DEFENSIVE end. The GM needs to stay the Hell away from the court...

You mean Stotts. Yes, he is a fine coach. I didn't know he was selected in 1980 as a second rounder by our Houston Rockets. He was unable to make it to the team. Portland will surely re-sign him.

The Orlando job is very appealing. Skiles had GM powers, the new coach most likely will also have a very strong input in their decisions. And they have many assets and young players + capspace + in the east.
If we can't get a superstar, wouldn't blame any coach for prefering the Orlando job over ours.

Morey was probably expecting every single coach to come calling him begging to get the Rockets job. He's surprised at the lukewarm excitement for the Rockets gig. Nobody wants to join this sinking franchise and work with him or Les.

He's just waiting to interview Vogel, who's probably not ready yet to be interviewed. Vogel hasn't met with anyone else either. The thing with JVG is, once you interview him, you can't not hire him. It'd be an insult to him. So my guess is Morey interviews Vogel, and if he doesn't get hired, we interview JVG with FULL intent on hiring him.

That makes a lot of sense, and I hope you are right. I just get nervous with the New York, Orlando, Indy, and Memphis jobs hanging out there.
