better hope Maurey is smart enough to do this. Based on his track record though, he likely will still show up in KD's house with an iPad in his hand, then wait 2 weeks w/o signing anybody else just for KD to reject him.
Yes let's fire the GM without a plan. Just like we fired our coach without a plan. But when I remember that he got no return for Dragic, Jones, Dwight, Parsons, or DMo...I want to scream. When I think about this season I want to scream. The "fire Morey" banter starts to make more sense. Then I remember that you need to replace him with someone better, and he's still probably better than most of the GMs in the league.
GSW, Thunder, Spurs Rising teams like Portland, TPups, Utah Old timers: Dallas, Clippers I do not know how Morey can make a contender again in recent years (he is on the hot seat), I cannot see it
We may not have even been good enough to beat GSW if this team would have performed as expected this season. Thunder may not even be good enough to beat them. That's the real truth and why perennially good teams that have superstar(s) try and compete every year. You have to put yourself in the playoffs and give yourselves a shot (a year like this is the exception). Trying to not only time avoiding teams like GSW, Thunder, and Spurs and trying to time hitting a franchise player in the lottery would be even tougher way to build a contender than what we have done.
