You act like Morey is humble enough to think that way. There's a good chance he still thinks his iPad presentation is amazing and impossible to turn down.

That's a wrap. Hopefully the pipe dreamers can wake up and realize if we can't build a contender this summer and we more than likely will not, we need to look into trading Harden while we have leverage by the deadline.

Would you dare say with this situation coming to what it looks to be a bitter sweet end puts Morey in a position to really show what he can do with a lot of room to maneuver and some money to play with and therefore either sealing his fate or confirming his greatness. Either or we know the direction we should be headed in.

lol who cares what some random fans think. It's not like any team's GM look at fan forums and get advice from them.

Who said anything about contenders? I said 4/5 seed.
Like you said..it's not hard to make the playoffs...les isnt going to rebuild, when he can stall and sell a pseudo-contender to fans, while he tries to make the team a true contender.

Buwuahahahhahahah Durant to Houston was a pipe dream a long time ago. Where we go from here is now the big question.

Hey I will be the first to say I was one of those stupid fans that thought Harden had a chance to drag Kevin to this dumpster fire. Pending the OKC playoff run...... OKC just proved to Kevin they are worth staying put. Had they lost....I guess we will never know.

Probably the best thing to happen for Rockets offseason... naw Morey will probably still chase Durant hard.

Morey: we don't need to get them out. Sometimes, it's better to strike out, like on LMA and Melo

If they got swept by Warriors, he might not stay. But they should win at least one game.

Durant might just slap Maury in his face when he tries to convince him to come to the Rockets. He's had more playoff success with OKC in the past 5 or 6 years than the entire Rockets organization has had in the past 20 years.

    Yeah he isn't leaving OKC.

I think the only way he would have considered leaving would have been, us playing OKC in the first round and beating them or them taking a bad beating from SAS (similar to Gm1).

Really can't see him leaving now, that he has made the WCF.

If Durant still decides to play the FA market, Morey should definitely try to get him, but don't wait on his decision and let other great/good players slip away in the process.

A player like Durant can cure a lot of things - you simply have a further threat on the floor at all times - but this team's biggest need is still the 1 and 4 position and the addition of knockdown shooters.

Minor tweaks? We have no starting PG, SF, PF, C or coach. 45-48 wins means we'll be fighting for 7-8th place and talking about that "14th pick" which were so accustomed to.

It would take some MAJOR moves to win 50+ and get a 4th or 5th seed. Even then we'll likely lose in the first or second round.

He's gonna have to rebuild when Harden leaves for nothing in 2018 since we're not winning anything in the next 2 years. What Les is selling fans aren't buying. We have one of the weakest home courts filled with a sea of red empty seats every game. He can try to make a contender all he wants but outside of Durant + One of the following (Whiteside, Horford, Conley) it's not gonna happen and in case you need a reminder it's not happening.

You have to be really bad at some point to be great some day. It's our time to be really bad.
