Don't forget Fisher's .4 shot in 2004. Or Manu's foul on Dirk at the end of regulation in Game 7 in 2006. Or Fisher's non-call foul on Barry at the end of Game 4 in 2008.

They've actually had quite a bit of heartache to counterbalance things like Elliott's 3-point shot or Horry hip-checking Nash into the scorer's table which effectively won the series over Phoenix after the suspensions.

Things like this are why they aren't held in as high a regard to other multiple championship dynasties. That and the lack of any back to back titles.

I agree. If they can keep points in the paint down and let the rest of the team focus more on stopping the perimeter they can make it competitive. But I worry the Thunder bench could give up too much on defense and not score enough to keep it manageable.

The system can only carry you so far, its great during the regular season to have a well tuned system to rely on. But during the playoffs, sometimes you have to elevate beyond the system and just want the game more than the other team.

Looks like OKC won the Harden for Steven Adams trade.

    Adams is dominating!!!

Westbrook has done a great job in this series in getting Adams and Kanter involved in its offense.

Nah, they would've won at least one title by now had they kept Harden. Adams just makes the trade no longer look like the worst deal ever.

Blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while. Have a feeling the Warriors are going to give him the Tony Allen treatment.

I've always had a big issue with their inability to repeat. Granted they were a defensive rebound or made free throw away from it in 2013 & 2014, but bottom line is they've never won back-to-back titles. In the last 3 decades, the Lakers, Pistons, Bulls, Rockets, Bulls(again), Lakers(again), Lakers(yet again), and Heat have all done it.

So you value the Pistons 2 championships more than the Spurs 5 total? I would not agree with that

    1) Everyone does that, these days
    2) 2nd in MVP voting, 2-time DPoY...I think he's "arrived."

Why do you have an issue with a team being able to repeat? I think they'd rather have their 5 'ships than winning 2 in a row, and not seeing the title for X years.

But none of those teams have been as dominant for the stretch of time the Spurs have been.

They've been contenders for about 15 years now? Straight?

I didn't say I didn't value the Spurs' 4 1/2 titles. I'm just saying I think that makes them inferior to a lot of other title teams since the 1980's. They're certainly not as great as Jordan's Bulls. They're not as great as the Showtime Lakers. They're not as great as the Shaq-Kobe Lakers.

And you could make a case the Bad Boys Pistons were in the same league. Remember that had it not been for a bad pass from Isiah that Bird picked off in Game 5 in 1987 or the Lakers pulling Game 6 and 7 wins out of their asses in the final minute in 1988, that team could've 4-peated.
