I don't see the Spurs coming back, the two teams are just playing on a different level now...only OKC can blow it, maybe in Rockets style lol

Even if he got swept in the first round he would still not come to Houston

The Thunder are just a really bad matchup for the Spurs. Too much size, too much length, too much athleticism. Spurs are too old, out of gas, and even Popovich has been disappointing.

Golden State will beat OKC in 5 games in the WCF.

I felt the Spurs were done and OKC would decisively take control of the game at some point. Didn't see it blowing open in the 1st half.

Haven't seen the Thunder play defense like this since Ron Adams left. Roberson's D has gone to another level this season.

I still have serious doubts about OKC, but have to admit their defense is a big reason the Spurs look cooked. All they have to do is keep up the intensity and avoid complacency.

When is the last time the Spurs bench was butchered like this?

I agree GS would handle OKC in the WCFs.

This game effectively ends any chance Durant leaves the Thunder. Beating the Spurs is a huge accomplishment. And yes while there is an entire 2nd half to play, the Spurs are cooked, bc Lemarcus and Kawhi are just tossing up bricks.

Besides...rather watch a prime KD/ Westbrook vs a prime Curry and Thompson...over a bunch of oldtimers anyways...Dont feel sorry for the Spurts one bit. They've dominated an era...its time for them to fade out and exit to stage left...

They would be lucky to take GSW to 6 games.

Seems that everyone is assuming GS will handle OKC. If OKC can keep up the defense and their bench remains productive, I think it would be a competitive series.

Now they are. That wasn't always the case. The Spurs handled the Thunder in 6 games 2 years ago en route to the title. They're just too old at this point. And OKC finally has some quality depth in their frontcourt. They used to rely on Perkins and Collison alongside Ibaka. Now they've got Kanter and Adams(technically he was on that 2014 team, but he was only 20 years old).

I didn't think the Spurs would beat the Warriors anyway, but for them to not even sniff the Conference Finals after a 67-win season is a surprise. They need to do a complete overhaul of their bench this summer aside from Lurch and Mills.

I wonder how many series the Spurs have lost in the last 20yrs to lower seeds.

Kanter and Adams are the key. They're a big reason the Thunder are killing the Spurs this series. And with the Warriors wanting to go small, if those two can dominate inside, it'll force Kerr to match up with the Thunder instead of the other way around.

Thunder will give the Warriors a good series I feel. Wouldn't mind seeing the Thunder take it.

Sad that this is how it ends for Duncan and Ginobili.

Leonard looking around for a foul thinking he's arrived enough to warrant a bail out call.

Spurs probably have the best moments as a franchise in the last 20 years but they have their share of heartbreaking moments too. Going up 2-0 to the Thunder only to lose 4 in a row. Losing games 6 and 7 to the Heat in the Finals after being up 5 with 30 seconds to go in game 6. Getting upset as the 1 seed by the 8 seed Grizzlies in the 1st round. Losing to the Clippers in the 1st round last year. Now this..

Definitely the Thunder are the better matchup. They're younger, quicker, and way more athletic.
