Still, I would never count the Spurs out. They are going to scratch and claw tonight and then it would go back to San Antonio for game 7. Would be hard to imagine them losing at home 3x in one series...
Yeah spurs are to good to be pulling a Rockets right? Spurs gonna come back, this is just another story in the making for their championship run.
Good. Murray was willing to hijack our whole offseason for the 1% chance Durant elects to sign with us. Maybe the fact that OKC is advancing slaps some sense into this idiot and we can move on.
It's over Spurs are toast. Down 24 at halftime. Leonard looks scared he can't get off a shot and that's why in the Leonard for harden thread I always defended harden. It's so hard to find either player but harden on offense is on a differnt level than Leonard and is so rare and hard to find you have to ride the wave with a guy like him. Leonard is in a good system playing for the best coach that puts him in position to excel at all the great things he does but in a close game and You need to improvise. I'll take guys like harden curry lebron KD even russ they just have the ability to make somthing happen out of nothing.
I just can't describe the level of delusion. Some of these guys ( I won't name them) actually thought he should abandon OKC because he has no hope of ever doing anything there and should come here (to this dumpster fire) because he is cool with Harden and knows Beasley. Its downright embarrassing to have takes that are stupid to that level. If Morey is for something however, it becomes the best option.
lmao, you'd think the rockets were a 60+ win team and Durant hated Westbrook but was bunkmates with Harden.
Agreed. We missed out on Lowry 2 years ago because Morey told him to sit around and wait while we wined and dined Melo for no reason whatsoever. Don't make the same stupid mistake again this summer. Don't even bother calling Durant. Just target the 2nd and 3rd tier free agents and let the big name players get their 25+ mil/yr contracts elsewhere.
Never really liked this narrative either. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Does Kevin Durant still need to leave OKC in order "to have a chance to win a title."</p>— Frank Isola (@FisolaNYDN) <a href="https://twitter.com/FisolaNYDN/status/730936566349189120">May 13, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">If Durant wants to leave, leave. But just stop using "in order to have a chance to win a title" nonsense. OKC & Westbrook give him a chance.</p>— Frank Isola (@FisolaNYDN) <a href="https://twitter.com/FisolaNYDN/status/730937087730536448">May 13, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> If he needed to go to some place to win a title, then there were only three better options: Golden State, San Antonio(who he's about to knock off) and Cleveland. Why is/was OKC made to be a dumpster fire he needed to run away from? The Harden trade sucks & forever will suck (at least they got Steven Adams ) but that's not what stopped them or derailed them. It was health/injuries. Beverley takes out Westbrook in 2012-13, they lose Ibaka for a few games in the WCF in 2013-14 and lost Durant last year. If they advance tonight, they will have made the WCF four times in the last six years.
