Why has every presidential candidate release their tax returns but none have released their speeches?

The American people deserve to see Donald Trump's tax returns!

NOW! Not after the election, *******!

Yeah, offshore accounts wouldn't hurt his campaign one jot. More likely, the returns will show he's has not been as rich for as long as he says.

What are you going to do? Not vote for him? There's nothing to compel Trump to release his private information except pressure from voters. The Trumpists will vote for him regardless; sane people will vote against him regardless; there's just a slim sliver of voters that might flip one way or the other. If the concern they'll have with not having the tax information is that he might look crooked, he still sitting pretty because of the painting of Clinton as crooked. I'm guessing he never releases the returns because the pressure to do so will never go high enough.

Just another one of Trump's lies. He said that he'd release them in 3 or 4 months. That was 3 months ago. Now he's gone back on his word.

Trump is probably a worse liar than Ted Cruz.

It has become a political tradition in this country for presidential candidates to release their tax returns and has been for decades now, JV. If no one complains about Trump basically saying, "**** you!" to the American people, that tradition will return presidential finances into the black hole from whence they came. By shrugging it off, as you are doing, you are enabling bad actors like Donald Trump to ignore basic standards of openness in our political system. That would suit far too many politicians on both sides of the aisle.

The amount of press coverage Trump is going to get in this election is going to be staggering. He has a legitimate chance to win. The narrative will be how he has brought together the fractured Republican Party.

They do. Though they deserve to know the content's of Hillary's speeches even more so than Trump's tax returns.

I imagine this is Ryan's attempt to tell Trump that the establishment will be picking his VP candidates while Trump tells him to f-off.

[rQUOTEr]Trump, Ryan meet in bid to heal fractured U.S. Republican Party

Presumptive Republican U.S. presidential nominee Donald Trump and House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan emerged from a meeting on Thursday declaring they had taken steps toward healing fissures in the party but that differences remained.

A joint statement issued by the insurgent candidate and the leader of establishment Republicans cast a positive spin on a session aimed at getting to know each other better and searching for common ground as Trump sought to rally more party loyalists behind him.

"This was our first meeting, but it was a very positive step toward unification," the statement said.[/rQUOTEr]

    http://www.cnn.com/2016/05/12/politics/donald-trump-muslim-ban/

Trump now says banning muslims was just a suggestion. I see now I had pegged him all wrong. I think it's time for me to take back all the bad things I thought about Trump and let him start anew with a clean slate starting now. Certainly this can't simply be the clumsiest pivot to the middle presidential politics has ever seen. I think it must be sincere.

I'm not enabling him. And you're not deterring him. Trump doesn't care what people who were never going to vote for him say. Nor are swing-voters going to be swayed by the insistence he release his taxes by people who were never going to vote for him. The newspapers are a different thing, but I'm just Joe Blow telling you I doubt it's going to happen. I'm not saying its right, wrong, or anything else.

    u mad, bro?

you're probably feeling sensitive because your candidate is in bed with Goldman Sachs and other 1%ers on Wall Street and won't even share what she discussed with them. You might even call her, "crooked"...

Trump IS one of those crooked 1%ers though....one that supported Hillary for president in the past and would probably be supporting her this time around as well if he didn't sucker enough Republicans into voting for him.

looks like Paul Ryan doesn't want to play nice with Trump. Can't wait for Trump to start distancing himself from the joke that is the GOP.

Ryan will become a cuckold watching his party taken over by Trump and have zero say. I'm loving it.

    It's really "Yeah, but....Trump" vs "Yeah, but....Hillary"

This election is about which awful candidate is hated least. IMO that's Hillary, she's slightly less hated and would do a slightly better job as president. Still, neither of these idiots should be president.

Your pivot to supporting Trump because he decided to put an (R) next to his name is really enjoyable to watch.
