Portland is in that honeymoon phase that all young teams experience when they break out for the first time. Young, exciting, and surprisingly competitive against a contender in the Playoffs. Rockets at one point were like that too, in 2012/13 vs. OKC in the 1st round.

Why do reporters continue to ask the 'who would you rather play' question? Has a player ever given a non-PC answer (unless there was was an obv answer i.e. they could get home court vs one team but not the other)?

 

Eh, they need a really big signing. CJ and Dame are good players, but they are not elite players. They could really use Horford but I have a feeling that Dwight will be that guy. He's going to get a max from Charlotte, Portland, or Dallas and Portland for him will look closer to the title.

When I see teams in the west they have elite top 10 players. Those two guys aren't that, they are a nice young team but I agree with Kenny. Their ceiling is that 2nd round.
