Fister has been rock solid as a #5. Take out those 4 ER from the Springer misplay in the lights and his ERA is in the mid-high 3s.
Yeah, everyone is expecting sweeps if we are going to turn things around. Right now, I want to just focus on taking series. Start taking series, build momentum, then the sweeps will come in time. But losing series, splitting series, isn't going to get us anywhere. If we can come back and win this game, it'll be a huge lift with Lance coming back as well. Really happy with Fisters outing so far. Many pitchers could have easily thrown a fit over the lack of offensive production given the chances, but he's kept us in a great spot to come back and take this ball game.
Trade is done. Made sense at the time--I definitely didn't mind. At this point, I'm just hopeful he can hit a streak and build up some amount of value before the deadline this year. Maybe there will be some interest in him as a rental down the stretch if so
