Watch which side of the rubber Devenski pitches from, it's been exclusively from the left side so far. Throwing across his body like he does is hell on a shoulder and when he gets tired everything will be up and out over the plate to a LHB, or drift in to a RHB
Devenski doesn't miss any bats. Tends to get in long at bats and rack up the pitches in all his starts. Fooling nobody tonight
For sure, still doesn't change the fact that he gets bad jumps... especially thus far in 2016. 2 for 7 is pretty terrible.
WOW! Limited the damage there, amazing reaction by Correa...that was a crazy bounce. Devenski already at 45 pitches in 2 innings
Starters have to conserve their stuff/arms to last more innings. Fastball had more speed and movement out of the pen, when he knew he only had to go 3 max (same applies for Feldman).
So Gomez normally just goes up to the plate and swings at any and everything praying he will make contact. That last at bat he just stood there for 3 strike calls.... New approach?
