If that were true why would he go to such lengths to defend the org and all of his decisions even after the season ended?
REMINDS me of dude that said Same thing "SOURCE OF A SOURCE basically, he was drinking beer with a GM or something and said the guy told him Mchale had told him DEKER may need back surgery. Whole CF called BS got on OP then few weeks later "DEKER needs back surgery was announced OP - said it CHI - came in confirming a 1999 member CODMAN - says "this is true he's heard whispers" CYBREX - came made a thread before saying he's in hot seat ----- even if this doesn't go through guys, we should be appreciative of any info we get around here
Please read my post... same thing people people were attacking OP with DEKER back surgery "WHY MOREY SAID DEKKER BACK WAS FINE ON 790" and Mchale saying he needs surgery. Just chill bro
Listen, Morey is a good general manager. Does his ego get out of control some times? Sure it does, but that can be fixed if he can become humbled enough to acknowledge to intangibles of a good coach, who is not named Jeff Van Gundy. Maybe he just does not have the best intuition in this area. Though I understand the dangers of running an organization predominantly based on analytic, I think he might understand the importance of maintain a humanistic element for a successful team. If he is going to find a good coach, it is going to be where no one else is looking at the moment. Like some of the moves he has made that have turned out good players, finding a good coach will be a move no one else is talking about, rather than a big name.
What is a source of a source anyway? Now the original source is leaking info instead of acting like a normal source?
No, Codman did not say that. He said "There are whispers, this much is true." To me that means it is true that there are whispers.
Durrell Murray OUT. JVG hired as President of Basketball Operations with full control of team. Steve Patterson back IN as GM. Cmon dream scenario!!
This season? None, but that's more because the star guys were either too dysfunctional with one another. (or maybe not the star caliber that the team really needs.) An obvious point but you need to have your star players playing at their best or close to it in order for complementary guys like JR Smith or Frye to shine. Brewer and Josh Smith looked near all star caliber in spurts during the 2015 playoffs for a reason.
