Listen, Morey is a good general manager. Does his ego get out of control some times? Sure it does, but that can be fixed if he can become humbled enough to acknowledge to intangibles of a good coach, who is not named Jeff Van Gundy. Maybe he just does not have the best intuition in this area. Though I understand the dangers of running an organization predominantly based on analytic, I think he might understand the importance of maintain a humanistic element for a successful team. If he is going to find a good coach, it is going to be where no one else is looking at the moment. Like some of the moves he has made that have turned out good players, finding a good coach will be a move no one else is talking about, rather than a big name.

This season? None, but that's more because the star guys were either too dysfunctional with one another. (or maybe not the star caliber that the team really needs.) An obvious point but you need to have your star players playing at their best or close to it in order for complementary guys like JR Smith or Frye to shine. Brewer and Josh Smith looked near all star caliber in spurts during the 2015 playoffs for a reason.
