Some rumors about Morey being out - was curious to know how many people wanted him out.

This is the one year he has been below expectations. Give him another shot.

We have the dumbest owner in sports, if he decides to let him go.

Knowing Houston luck, Morey would win a ship with another team next year. Dallas will pick him up.

Morey is one of the best things in Houston sports. We will be making a huge mistake, letting him go.

He should resign. And if a GM position for a less splash-oriented and reactively hands-on owner opens, take it.

Les seriously needs to let him do his job. That Jeremy Lin signing was a debacle .

He needs to stop constantly relying on the numbers and analytical models and get to a gym and lose that triple chin

That and stay off twatter, stop being a lackey to Harden, let the coach do his thing instead of coaching from the spreadsheets

Oh and get someone with NBA knowledge as a player in the front office like Battier

Morey is slightly overrated IMO, he's not bad but he's not that great either. His record in Houston has been at best hit-or-miss. Re-signing Corey Brewer, loading our roster with low IQ big men who can't shoot free throws, inability to acquire one decent 2-way player, lack of respect for coaching, constantly chasing after big name stars instead of holding onto solid role players that we have, etc.

I just don't see Morey beating the Spurs or the Warriors with this kind of management skill. He has his talents, but constructing a roster that could work as a coherent unit is not one of them. It too much feels like crapshoot at times, and the turnover rate is way too high for any kind of camaraderie spirit to take place among players. That's why we constantly hear from outsiders that we don't have a culture or set identity.

I'm not asking for Morey to leave, but I won't regret it either once that decision gets made.

I do not think that is necessary.... if you talk to him and he sees there is nothing left for him in this org, he will leave on his own

He'll Memphis just fired their coach who got them in the playoffs with all the issues they had this year so being mediocre doesn't cut it anymore

The poll choices all imply disappointment in Morey.

I mean the first choice obviously does...but the next two seems pretty neutral - definitely was intended to be neutral.

I will have go with other....

Give him one more year.. BUT.....

He needs to stick with the finances only.. Let the new coach come in and have the say so on the personnel...

Give Morey a list of players he would like and let Morey see how they can fit within the budget...

Also Morey stays far away from the on court decisions.. That is purely up to the coach... The coach also has the final say so on which players need to be traded... Make it a team and not all this BS that's been going on...

i'd like to keep morey as a GM, but i'd want him to report to the coach rather than have the coach report to him.

I'm just sick of him being such a control freak with on the court basketball decisions that the coach should be doing

If you fire him now, who is going to interview all those coaches?
