I thought it was too, until Durant and Westbrook turned into the OKC Rockets

Hmmm. Durant does a great job coming off screens, posting up, driving, etc. he seems like he can run plays or go iso.

It is of course Westbrook that really makes you scratch your head.

Mea Culpa. Ya'll were correct. Apparently they run this often, but apparently not at all in the 4th quarter tonight?

Based on this, they should force down the Spurs throats like Jazz used to do to everyone...

to a large degree i blame durant. he has never been a guy to demand the ball. when you're 10/17 and westbrook is struggling, you can't just keep standing there and hoping maybe the ball will just bounce to you out near halfcourt. durant can get the ball any time he wants. but like earlier in the game when kyle anderson was switched on to durant and he just kinda lazily stood there not really creating space for a pass to him, he doesn't go get it.

sometimes i think westbrook is just aggressive to be aggressive because the team needs it. sometimes he gets layups, sometimes he misses the layups because he's going too fast, sometimes he gets an assist, sometimes he turns it over, sometimes he makes a completely boneheaded play, sometimes he misses a layup but the team gets an easy offensive rebound because he drew the defense. but i think him just being all-out aggressive is what they tell him to do/want him to do/allow him to do. if it's not, they should change it. or durant should change it. but they don't.

so i don't generally blame westbrook as much as others. now the play where he came down in traffic and dribbled between his legs i thought was going to be a turnover as soon as he went between his legs and sure enough it was. but outside of that i can't say he made that many mistakes out of just being careless or stupid.

Durant is gone. The writing is on the wall, and I'll take the hit for what I said about sa, just for Memphis to have the opportunity to get him.

Westbrook is easily the single most overrated player in NBA. Yeah, he puts up good numbers you immediately notice those are mostly empty once you watch his game. It's ugly as hell and every good thing he does is based on athleticism, not skill or basketball IQ. People say Harden is selfish, smh Harden looks like Josh Stockton compared to Westbrook.

After Westbrook turned it over with almost no pressure and Leonard got the ball on the other end and got fouled, why did Durant yell at Ibaka instead of Westbrook?

I still say Spurs in 7. I think they just alternate wins from here.

Thunder should've never broken up that team. Both Westbrook and Harden were most effective playing 2nd and 3rd fiddle to Durant. Can't say I feel bad for them... scumbag Clay Bennett deserves all the bad luck he could get, and then some.

Is this serious, 4 guys pointing hahaha :)

I do not get the love fest for Westbrook at all. All talent, but a huge chucker, selfish a lot, dumb and his persona is unlikable. Spurs on the other hand still a great team and look Morey, they shoot from midrange and they win big!!!

Actually if you had watched WB on a regular basis, you'd know he went to another level this season. His FG% went up, he had career highs in assists and rebounds, his FGAs went down and he was finding open guys like few PGs in the NBA can. He deserved every bit of the praise. The OKC offense was actually beautiful to watch, most of the time.

The problem is both KD & WB reverted to their ingrained comfort zone when the pressure was on and would no longer trust their offensive sets and teammates. This is why they led the NBA in blown 4th quarter leads.

Tonight, WB reverted to hero ball and blew the game for them. I can't believe he actually took 31 shots. After he luckily hit the 3-pointer late that put them up 4 (after missing a wide-open KD), the Spurs went on their run and took control. Very fitting.

So serious question...what was Morey expecting Lamarcus Aldridge was going to do here in Houston? Layups and 3's?
