LOL, so many ****ing delusional Rockets fans. Look around, the Rockets are a dumpster fire with a reputation like a steaming pile of ****. KD would be grateful that we are considering him? Get the **** out of here! Mark my word: KD ain't coming. Get over it! First hire a good coach, next clip Morey's wings, put someone with a good track record in charge of operations to instill a winning culture, then think about chasing these stars. Houston right now is a fat hairy chick with a unibrow and a beard who hasn't showered in months: not exactly an attractive destination. Seriously people, get over yourselves.
Wanda Durant, Kevin Durant's mom, made a few statements on the Hahn and Humpty Show on ESPN's 98.7 FM that Knicks fans are sure to analyze as Durant prepares for free agency. Asked if she liked New York, Wanda Durant said, "I do like New York. I like Oklahoma City. I like being in America. That's what I like." Savvy answer. Wanda Durant added that Kevin will surely consider Russell Westbrook when he makes his decision this summer. She also discussed how her son would fit in a big city. "Oklahoma City really fits Kevin's temperament. He's a low-key guy… It is the home-town feel that he likes," Durant told hosts Alan Hahn and Rick DiPietro while discussing the Lifetime movie "The Real MVP" that depicts her life as a single mom. "He doesn't need the big city and all that stuff, not to say that it's not appealing to him, but he does like Oklahoma City. Time will tell; we don't know what he's going to do." Well, then this should damper your spirits: http://m.newsok.com/article/5496472 and let me just add... f#<% the Spurs!
I'll give you that Harden is a top 5 offensive player, but he doesn't give consistent effort on D. Simple things like not getting back on D when he isn't involved in the offensive play or not rotating to an open man to contest a shot or trying to chase down a guy who got by him to block a layup from behind or at least be in position to rebound if the guy misses. This has been a problem since day one as a Rocket. If your "best" player doesn't give 100% then the rest of the team won't respect him. The same would apply to Howard, but I'm assuming he's gone. The roster has a lot of big holes. We need a play making backup PG (Beverley would suck at it so that's why he is a perfect fit next to Harden as a starter) who hopefully isn't a horrible defender. Will DMo be back healthy and @ what price? DMo does the little things that help a team win. If DMo is gone who do you bring in to start? Beasley is a great offensive player but the rest of his game is questionable. If Capela starts who is going to be the backup center? Do you keep Brewer or Ariza or both? Do you resign Smith? Are McDaniels, Harrell, Goudelock and Dekker good enough to be rotation players? There's going to be a new coach. How much will the offense change and will they bring in guys who "fit" the system. Does Morey have job security beyond next season? Does it matter to Durant? Lots of questions that need to be answered before Durant even considers the Rockets. Westbrook, Ibaka, Kanter, Adams and Waiters even with their flaws are better than anything the Rockets can bring together.
You're over here making these bold claims about us being to disastrous to get Durant and you can't even grade for yourself if we should keep Brewer or not? Way to expose yourself
Lol, don't take my post wrong, I'd definitely be ecstatic if Durant were joining the Rockets. It'd just be nice if the coach/Durant himself told Westbrook to stop jacking volume shots up. The good news is... Durant might finally be getting tired of this pickup style bball, Westbrook is good but be shouldn't be shooting Durant out of the gym. Obviously we don't know if it'll be enough to persuade him to join our mess atm, but it's worth a shot, especially since the Rockets will be a different team next year. You always have to try to make a pitch for a star player, and Morey along with any team out there (with the cap space) will be in line too.
It depends... I mean a superstar would probably have had a sit down with Westbrook and said "cut this **** out" like years ago, instead it's like Durant's okay with it. It's becoming more clear each year that OKC traded the wrong player. I mean if Harden were on that team still you can almost be certain they'd be sharing the ball better, Westbrook is good but if he didn't try to play heroball and bought into the team better they'd probably go further. Instead in gm 4, we'll probably see him shoot 40, haha Westbrook is playing like Harden has to for the Rockets, when he should actually be making sure Durant is getting his shots.
Dude, Parson's is beyond alpha!! hahaha. Parsons isn't even a beta, I don't think anyone would take Parsons over Durant, right??? Lolol
I would get rid of him, but you would have to throw in a pick or other asset to get rid of him. So depending on the situation you might have to keep him just to fill out the roster. Like I said there are lots of open questions and that is why Durant isn't coming here.
Maybe Morey could ask Bosh for it back, so he can re-use it lol. I mean it's not like these guys probably need an iPad... Haha. Bosh was probably like... "thanks! But what am I going to do with this?? I already have one for my yacht, my house, my car, my personal jet... Etc etc etc, also, I like Samsung better now!!! So get off my lawn". At least this is how I imagined it happening, lol. Morey would have had more success if he gifted Bosh the excel file on a laptop that shows he would get to shoot a lot of 3s.
Parsons is a super role player that deserves to get paid regardless of how injury prone he has shown to be right before the most important part of the season. Anyone who doesn't see this is a fool.
