Ok please tell me in what way are the ******* Houston Rockets a "dumpster fire"? We have capspace to sign 1 or 2 max FAs and Harden is on the team but apparently this is the worst situation ever and everybody should just suicide. I mean before you go around saying other people are delusional you shoul take a reality check yourself. Fans are naturally optimistic, that is their nature we love the team so we look for positive outcomes. But some of you people go way overboard on the negativity which is why you provoke these type of accusations. Nobody is hiding under a rock the rockets underperformed this year. But at the same time, reaching the playoffs doesn't mean you are the worst team in the league, in fact we are in the upper half of teams in the entire NBA. So if you want to have a good discussion instead of getting negative reactions then why don't you tell others to first post something that is in line with reality instead of so over the top it is actually way more delusional than the optimistic posts.
Durant GAWN from OKC... Westbrook took almost twice as many shots as he did and Russ was building a coke empire with those bricks..
I don't agree to that. The Rockets had a bad year but they let their coach go and are about to have a ton of cap space with no cap killing long term contracts on the books. They aren't a clean slate team but they can rebuild around Harden/Durant with a new coach if he chooses them.
Westbrook not very judicious in his shot selection, to be sure. He was something like 10 for 30. They have two of the five/six best players in the league but are often Rockets-ish in their lack of cohesion. Not saying Durant will leave because of this, but you can bet right now I'm a Spurs fan. If we don't land him (not holding my breath), maybe we can chase him out of the WC.
OKC frequently looks like they're playing while they dropped acid in the closing minutes.. Despite the numbers Russy puts up, he is terrible in crunch time and his 3 pt shooting is ~30%... The thought of Durant on the Celtics is possible but troubling.. that is already a very solid team.. This offseason will be interesting if nothing else
No no no this is just and illusion hence why KD would rather play with Harden than Westbrook these days. Youre right about him being a hothead, which is the only reason he looks like he is better than KD sometimes.
Westbrook is overrated AF. Definition of a ball hog and relentless chucker. The dude only won 55 games this season with Durant as his teammate, are you kidding me Harden alone won 56 games last year. Harden is much better shooter and more efficient scorer. Westbrook's game mostly depends on his athleticism which is not a strength per se, those type of players age very badly just like Dwight, Amare and Steve Francis. Westbrook took 31 shots and bricked most of them while Durant was on fire but took 13 less shots than WB, this is why OKC will never win a championship, Durant should just leave OKC after this season.
I'm hoping his feet will be okay (hate to see his career cut short), but you're right about that drive/leadership... He's still deferring too much to WB, or allowing him to do that ****,"here WB shoot 50 shots (okay 30), I'll be here when you allow me to contribute". I mean in tonight's game Durant got mad about TO from Westbrook, and then next play instead of being the leader he passes it to Westbrook for another turnover on a ****ty pass WB couldn't even get to (so b2b TOs), wth?!? It's like if it were Jordan/Hakeem or some superstar they'd be demanding the ball, especially when they're having a good shooting night, and either making the shot or making damn well sure it's a legit attempt at a pass to set your teammate up (I mean, sure mistakes happen, even from superstars but his body language just isn't showing he gives a ****). I really think Durant is starting to crack this series like he knows they'll probably lose, we'll see if he responds in gm 4 or if he's going to let Westbrook do whatever he wants to. Westbrook 10/31 to his 10-18 (makes/attempts). WTH?? This narrative continues to be the same. If anyone should be shooting 30+ shots it should be KD, you're not going to see that happening to Jordan/Hakeem/ even Kobe in a playoff game post Shaq (where they're not taking the shots). If Jordan was in his prime playing with Westbrook right now (or over last several years) they probably would have had a fist fight in practice by now. Instead I imagine KD in the corner crying, and saying "coach, just let Westbrook do what he wants, I don't want him to be upset with me. I want him to play 2k w/ me" hahahah I mean I'm a fan of KD but the guy just doesn't seem to want to be "the guy". And unfortunately that's not something that can just change.
Agreed! Seriously all this "KD doesnt wanna come here" Talk by fans when in reality KD should even be grateful the Rockets are interested making him the number one guy.
The aggressive man that turns into a leader can successfully elevate the play of role players or he can fail miserably Westbrook has to add more to his skillset so that he can be still an allstar when he ages.
Make no mistake, if Durant comes this is still Harden's team. I've been saying this for a while. On another note, Durant would be a legitimate fool to opt to play with Westbrook over Harden. I don't see him going to Golden State to piggy back for a ring. It's looking more and more likely. Harden >>>>> most other sidekicks. Westbrook is one of the most overrated players in the league and to top it off he seems completely unaware of himself on the court. 10-31 SMH. you can't shoot threes stop jacking them up you moron.
