Now that Lin's season is over, LinMac aka Tinman has no one to converse with him, so he has to insert himself into the Jeremy Lin thread and make random useless posts about nothing, to prevent himself from suicidal tendencies arising from post-Lin-season-trauma
A famous quote: "there are three kinds of lies: lies, damn lies, and statistics". You can make stats say anything you want. Fwiw, statistics was a huge part of my college major (operations research) and had 4 grad level courses on my transcript. So I do understand statistics...and especially in sports, I believe the quote is true. It is pointless to debate whether Bev is a better PG than Lin...to most, it's obvious that Bev's skillet is limited to 3 and D, and unless you have a superstar at SG, he is not a guy who can make plays and orchestrate his team.
Lol. That's one of the funniest things I've ever read. You thinking you know more about basketball than Spolestra. Your lack of actual basketball knowledge is glaringly obvious. Comparing stats without context is just lazy, ignorant analysis. One huge difference between a playoff series vs the regular season is that in the playoffs series you play just one team, while in the regular season you play 29 teams (Obvious, huh?). What you haven't realized is that when you play a good defensive team like Miami, your stats usually go down. Just like this. Charlotte regular season- 103.4 pts, .439 fg%, .362 3ptfg%, 21.7 ast, TS% .545, ORtg 105.1, DRtg 101.8 Charlotte playoff series- 90.3 pts, .396 fg%, 308 3ptfg%, 13.6 ast, TS% 49.4, ORtg 96.4, DRtg 106.5 What do you know? Charlotte scored less points while having a lower TS% against the Heat. Conversely, Lin scored more points while having a higher TS% against the Heat. Also, your ORtg and DRtg is wrong for Lin. His actual Playoff ORtg is 98.6 and DRtg is 97.5 giving him a NetRtg of 1.1 (which was the highest of any player who played for more than 11 mins per game on the team), while the team NetRtg was -10.1. http://stats.nba.com/team/#!/1610612766/players/advanced/?sort=NET_RATING&dir=1
Hahaha.... cosgomets is getting owned and an oakley knockout blow. Stick to 2nd grade english grammer and leave the real basketball knowledge to us experts.
I know someone is a baller when they boast about their credentials when no one asked or cared about them. There was one guy who did it better than the rest but he eventually got himself banned. I forget his name. He loved to talk about how he retired early, moved to some island with his much younger wife, had an enormous house that backed up to a golf course, and of course how his former high paying prestigious job kept him at the forefront of statistical analysis thereby putting him far ahead of anyone on CF. He was a hoot. Can't believe I'm drawing a blank on his name...
I generally don't boast about credentials, but he said this: "I guess they reads stats at about your level then, very funny", so I felt it appropriate that I provide some context. Otherwise, I agree with you...boasting about credentials without being prompted is dumb.
Indeed, it's more silly than anything. I'm thinking that guys username was JTR... Also http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=9407378&postcount=17110
Wonder if that guy's had to replace his windows with all the stray golf balls flying around? Alas, his comment would indicate that he hasn't actually grown up...
damn seems like he's leaving Charlotte lol. I'm sure he really likes the team but he clearly wants to start and not play behind Kemba. And he's right, Charlotte had a nice run this year and could've been in the second round. Lin/hornets always played well against the Raptors so they might have reached the ECF. Too bad that Wade is a monster in the playoffs and Marvin Williams disappeared
