I have a hard time believing that a team had a top 3 defensive efficiency tuned a coach out...

Defense is the more difficult half of the court, yet these guy autopiloted their was to one of the best defensive rankings in the league? With a rookie getting major minutes in Myles Turner..

They ranked better than Golden State who has elite defenders, some of whom could easily be starters on other teams, coming off the bench..

Damn this could be a team defining move for years to come.

Vogel has everything you'd want as a HC, hope we get him it'll be a good way to start removing the bad taste of this season.

You think if we hired Vogel we'd try to sign Solomon Hill or Ian Mahinmi?

Being an insider doesn't mean what you're saying will come true, you're missing the point of what being an insider means. He brings us info that is accurate AT THE TIME, that doesn't mean that will be the final agreement because things are moving fluidly for example by the time he posts Morey is interested in JVG the meeting between JVG and Morey might already be in progress and DM got turned down. So the next day he contacts Vogel and hires him instead, that doesn't mean the info wasn't legit. If all you're interested are inside scoops that are gonna come true 100% just follow Wojbomb's twitter.

Btw Morey already screwed the Rox for years to come by passing on Batum and Kawhi Leonard when they were the "obvious" picks at their position. However he also brought Harden and Dwight in Houston so IMHO it's still a net positive.

Doubtful, Vogel isn't Doc Rivers who just brings in "his guys"

A possibility nevertheless because we will have a center vacancy

Morey has to move fast before the good coaches get snatched up.

Vogel is easily the best HC available.

Of course Vogel would have a say in who is brought in on his staff though

I like both Vogel and JVG, but I'd go with Vogel who is younger, has had recent success, and seems a little more likable to outsiders.

If we can transform the D without improving the O, we'd be very competitive at least.

I'd take Van Gundy over Vogel any day of the week. We desperately need somebody with strong character to clean up the mess.

Everyone seems to already be totally on board with Vogel, but haven't his teams always had issues with poor offensive scheme and efficiency?

Even if gets this team to fix their defense, wouldn't they still need some adaptation and change to the offense?

Vogel appears to be a fan of the following schemes on offense:

Indiana was playing good offense (not spectacular, but good) 2 years ago, in the first half of the season, and they hold the best record in NBA.

Then it fall off the cliff. Can we blame Vogel for all this? maybe, may be not, but he is young and smart, there is room to grow.

    The Rockets organization and some fans on this board share a common word.. D E L U S I O N A L

After doing more research on Vogue-L, it's clear he's just a submissive McHale 2.0. The lil dude would fit in better with a gay Fifty Shades of Gray soap opera

The real fans who want to see this team improve can't endure another year of "Yes Harden, take the wheel". We need a real coach that won't take **** from nobody, reign in his players, and instill a winning offensive and defensive system into their heads. No more ISO bull **** no more "be free and play how you want to". JVG/Messina aint acceptin that. JVG/Messina are the only options for success
