I've never see any of the Captain Americas. Going to watch the first 2 tonight and tomorrow.

Not interested in a 240i shaky cam.

Gonna catch this where it's meant to be seen this Thursday in IMAX.

Heard from all the reviews that Tom Holland was the most accurate comic book depiction of Spider-man and Peter Parker.

I don't read Spider-man comic books so my early depiction of Spidey/Peter was Tobey Maguire

Iron Man has control of Avengers again since he's at the headquarters. Cap pretty much says that he's still with the team whenever they need him, he released the rest of the guys from the under water prison. I thought Black Panther helping out Cap/Bucky was interesting, telling me that they are united again since Black Panther was on Iron Man's side. I'm sure Tony and Cap will make up when Iron needs his help in Avengers: Infinity War. Wondering if they do make Iron Man 4, if they would do it before or after Infinity War

94% on RT after 102 reviews. Only 2 more days, I'm dying inside. Trying to not click on spoilers is like trying not to hit the big red button.
    Hype factor 11.

    For reference:

    Iron Man: 94%
    Avengers: 92%
    Winter Soldier: 89%

94% is pretty darned good for a superhero movie.

I'm hoping for a lot of Winter Soldier and Black Panther. The latter looks like a kick-azz addition to the MCU.

From articles I've read, it doesn't matter who your favorite character is they have time to shine. With that said I primarily hear Spider-Man, Black Panther, and Winter Soldier in that order. I think you're going to be happy.

(Those are my two favorite characters in the movie also, friends forever?)

That would be Marvel's dream scenario as those are the key guys needed to keep momentum going after Avengers/Iron Man/Cap all wind down.

Is this worth seeing in 3D or not really

Pretty much. I think Infinity War 1/2 will break a lot of records though. I also think Dr. Strange / Guardians 2 are going to be big ones as well.

I don't watch movies in 3D anymore. I have heard the effects on this one should be decent.
I do however recommend seeing it in IMAX, the entire airport battle (15-17 minutes?) is filmed on IMAX cameras.

    Absolutely.

Any dude who can run down Winter Soldier in a suit that also deflects bullets? Yeah, count me in.

I was a comic hero nerd back in the mid-70's. Then I went to live with my dad, who was great in most other respects, but not so understanding of comic books; but I never got these characters out of my blood.

But I'm not quite so passionate about little changes here and there that are meant to make these characters fit into our world in some respect. (Sony's) Wolverine is tall? Meh. And I thought posters here were going to march on Marvel Comics' offices when they changed The Mandarin for the movies.

I hope the whole 3D will die soon. I find the experience overrated, even for movies like Avatar (blue Indian, not wind bender). It doesn't help that I wear glasses.

Wearing glasses might be my biggest annoyance, but I think Prometheus really killed the whole 3D experience for me. After the first 10 seconds of the movie I never noticed it again.

As far as movies that used 3D well, and been more enjoyable for it....I actually really liked Avatar's, and believe it or not A Very Harold and Kumar Christmas was great as well.

Haven't watched one in quite some time though.

Fox does the X-men movies, but yeah I'm with you. With that said it's hard for me to imagine anyone else as Wolverine other than Hugh Jackman now -- he's done a really great job despite some of the films he's been in.

While the Mandarin thing did piss me off (they actually retconned this in a One Shot later...in other words we have yet to see the real Mandarin in the movies), I'm actually one of the people that truly enjoyed Iron Man 3. Other than the trailers thoroughly spoiling the ending, and the ending itself being a little bit of a head-scratcher I thought it was quite good. I will say that I think Iron Man 2 is quite underrated also despite all of the Avengers stuff shoehorned in.

To the original point I think despite some of the changes they make (like Yondu being technically a bad guy in Guardians), I think Marvel really cares about the characters and they usually tend to take great care even with the changes they make. Aunt May for example is 50 instead of 80-90 in the comics, (and I will take Marisa Tomei all day) but it also makes sense that a 15 year old would have an aunt in her 50s. As for the aforementioned Yondu he definitely has a hand in saving the day/helping the good guys so he isn't all bad, right?

Lastly, Black Panther has been one of my favorite characters for a long time. I'm bi-racial, and none of the black heroes to this point have done much for me. I love Mackie as Falcon, and Cheadle as War Machine, but those aren't heavy hitters. Black Panther is a tier 1 superhero if you read the comics/watch the cartoons, and I can't wait to see him interact with the rest of the MCU.

Dammit, I waited too long. Ended up with just regular tickets yesterday since the IMAX showing was already sold out since Monday

I'm going tomorrow at 7, is it out everywhere on Thursday? Or just select theaters?

I'm sure it's just certain theaters / showtimes. There's enough venues in Houston that I don't think you'll ever have one straight up sell out. Other than maybe Edward's on I10.

Half the time I've went to see a movie on preview night (thursdays) there's been essentially no one else in the theater. It's freaking great.

I'm going to the Edward's for the IMAX though, yay crowds.

Sorry sir, they really push that 3D/IMAX bundle, I can't stand that garbage. I took the later showing just so I could see it without the 3D, but I bought my tickets a couple weeks ago.

I too hate the 3D/IMAX bundle. I also hate non-reserved seating. So I go to Sundance 9/10 times and if it's worth it, I'll rewatch when the crowds die down in IMAX 2D (if available).
