What sucks is that this team can't score 4 or 5 more runs so it's sorta like the game is over already

Lmfao! Ya think? He could be Cy Young himself and I'm going to go out on that limb.

They aren't a very good team. Worst team in the AL; 2nd worst in baseball(!) only behind the stripped-down-rebuilding Braves.

So much for turning to your "ace" to stop the bleeding. Can't even do that.

Exactly. Guys are struggling and you can't put that all on Hinch BUT he is just as bad. His terrible in game management has cost us games and when guys are slumping you can't afford your manager to be adding to things. It would be nice to know we have someone making the right decisions so that the ship is righted as soon as our players come around. Hinch is actively hindering that process with his awful decisions

Hard to get anything going offensively with so many automatic outs in the lineup. Castros is a waste of an at bat at this stage

Hinch needs to have a very hot seat right now and almost be on his way out. I don't think he has what it takes to steer this team in the right direction. He looks at times more helpless and without fight then the team does.

I wish the Astros showed the spunk that catcher just showed. And they are up 4 in the game.

please let's not go back to this stuff. They're pressing for sure, and they're sucking. But the "lack of spunk" isn't what's holding them back.

(I remember all the posts about "manager doesn't argue enough" from the past. Just a pet peeve I guess)

Why? That was a pretty idiotic thing for them to do.

Not content with looking at strike 3 once, Altuve does it twice in one at bat

Maybe it's happened a lot more than I know, so maybe I'm really wrong here

But I'm thinking the list of teams firing their manager 25 games into a season, and then making the playoffs is incredibly small

Then if you are firing a manager 25 games jnto his second season when his first was a playoff season

Thinking it hasn't worked out too much?

I compare it to a coach getting a tech to fire up his team. Just don't keep taking crap and laying down.
