Durant should go East if he wants a realistic shot at continuous contention. Boston, Atlanta, Miami are all interesting options.
Yep. Hakeem in his top 5 there to recruit, and i remember during the draft, he said he wanted to play like his favorite player, T-Mac. He will also be there to recruit him. His brother? Beasley will be there to recruit. One of his inner circle best friends in the NBA? James Harden will be there to recruit. We have a ton of recruiting power and he likes Houston. I just see him being very loyal and he will end up signing the max to stay in OKC.
Problem is T-Mac is very honest and he will just tell him to stay in OKC or go to LA lol.. https://soundcloud.com/siriusxmnba/...e-grass-isnt-always-greener-on-the-other-side
I feel KD is very loyal as well and that will pull on him. But being destroyed in this SAS series (and I feel it will continue this way) will be eye opening for him. He will look around and see that Westbrook could easily leave after next season. Same with Ibaka. And that they have a rookie head coach from college. They are in a small market that is unlikely to attract FAs. He will see all of this. And that urge in him to want to compete for a championship, coupled with the current uncertainty of the team status, will overtake his loyalty. Garnett was loyal to a fault with Minny. Shame he didn't get out of their earlier.
If you couldn't sense the sarcasm in my post then I'd question whether or not you're pointing the word "dumbest" to the correct party.
Exactly. Just cuz he is one of the 2 big free agent centers....... It does not mean we should target Horford. I would only pay him on a 1-2 year deal.
Wade wouldn't take a significant to play with LeBron. He's not gonna take one for Durant. He's made it clear that he wants his money.
Yep, and the simple problem for the Thunder is that they cannot improve their roster substantially...the only guy that may have good value on the market is Ibaka which: 1. is declining 2. is not good enough to be traded for an all star caliber player 3. expires next season, so they'll not be able to trade him in any team cause he'll not resign there
Probably yeah, but if the Rockets are planning on him to help them pitch then he'll change his mind. Look at all they did for Dwight. All Tmac is saying here is that you can't leave another superstar and he can easily change it to "Well, Harden is another superstar. You should play for the Rockets." Not like Tmac hates the Rockets. He's sure seen at plenty of the games hanging with Les.
This can't be emphasized enough. The last time KD and Harden were teammates, they made it to the Finals. I'm sure both players are well aware of that.
That familiarity definitely helps! KD doesn't have to "guess" as to how his game will mesh with Harden. It is known. He just needs to know who else is along for the ride and who is driving the bus. The same sentimental mentality of KD staying loyal to OKC might also play on him having "un-finished business" with teaming with James Harden to win the NBA Finals. KD knows where he stands now with Westbrook. But there is a "what if" out there with James Harden. I am sure those things will play in his mind. Spoiler
Harden might want to bring Durant to Houston, but will he try to force his way back to OKC to reunite with Durant and Westbrook?
Exactly, I'm sure he's loyal to OKC, but he knows how far he can go with that team.....and it's not where he wants to go. Houston, and a few other teams, offer him more. Especially if the Spurs sweep them.
Bev and Sergio Harden and Daniels Durant and Scrub Scrub and Scola Capela and scrub..... Western Conference at least
