Lol, you're such a joke of a poster. Horrendous post especially with how poorly Lowry has played in 3 straight postseasons.
You see Golden State blowing playoff teams with relative ease without Curry and our fans think we have a great team around James. Harden has hands down the worst supporting cast & situation of any other star player in this League. Poor coaching staff, no defensive stalwarts, terrible depth, no shooters, no playmakers, no all star teammates. Absolute garbage roster that had no business making the playoffs. Only problem I have with Harden is his defense but that's mostly on Morey. Get JVG in & there's no doubt he'll improve that aspect of his game. Since there's next to little talent on this team he needs to become not just a great defender but the undisputed best on the team if we're going to make any strides next season.
Flimsy comments require hyperbole to aid their effectiveness. Name one poster who thinks Harden's teammates are great. 1) Harden also has, hands down, the worst defensive effort and leadership skills of any star (or role player, for that matter) in the league. 2) Those same teammates spear-headed the greatest playoff comeback in league history WITHOUT Harden. So, it's Morey's fault Harden plays half-assed on one side of the ball? I guess the careless TOs are the GM's fault too. It's a shame a grown man, who wants to be the man, needs a coach to get him to play harder. I cheer for Jaime since he's on my team, but he's softer than wet Charmin.
Harden doesn't need a coach to get him to play harder. That's on him. He does need a coach to improve the team around him, just like every great player in the league. He also needs said team around him to perform well, just like every great player in the league. This isn't an either/or thing.
It's not either/or, but a team's best player has a huge effect on his teammates. If the best player isn't playing hard, his teammates will follow.
I agree. There were certainly times where I would say Harden's effort level was low and it negatively impacted the team. It is also very obvious that there were many times where Harden was playing well and playing hard, and his teammates were failing him. Once again...not an either/or thing. The Rockets failed this year because of a multitude of things going wrong. It is not correct to say it all stemmed from just Harden not playing hard (not saying that is what you're saying. Just stating for the record).
I guess trolling Tinnyman is the most fun this season and offseason? I mean trolling and being trolled.
And during clutch city, the team was inspired by hakeem olajuwon. Not only the team. The fans. The city. And in that journey , someone decided to make an internet bbs and name it after clutch city. I seriously doubt Harden has affected people like Hakeem did.
I haven't signed in to post in YEARS, but this is such an incredibly stupid post that I couldn't help myself. It "looks" like you take a guy wildly out of context and then when he calls you on it you just say you don't care b/c championship. I've seen your name before as I lurk, and you have 50k posts but wow you lost all credibility. This is the embodiment of what this site has become. For all I know you are CF royalty and I might get banned or something for this post. Good. * I only read the first couple of posts and was so overwhelmed with the stupidity that I couldn't read any more. If later clarification was given then ignore the above.
That brian dude who started throwing dream's name around with no respect did. Oh. I haven't heard from him lately
you reap what you sow... James wants to play hero ball and pad his stats while not playing defense or boxing out or doing any of the grunt work that doesn't show up on the stat line... guys start to ease up and some just say screw it... If the lead dog isn't going to show the respect to the game... don't be surprised when the pack follows...
I don't care about what advanced stats says, ffs Tracy McGrady had one of the best seasons stats wise in NBA history. This shouldn't even be a question, Hakeem hands down.
They were inspired because they won and had the talent to win. Did Barkley's fat ass inspire anyone in Houston in the end? No, it doesn't mean he was a bad player they just didn't have enough talent and he was getting old and injured. I bet you would say prime Barkley was a great leader had he been on the championship Rockets teams. Talent trumps leadership. You need real leadership when teams are closely matched that's why Mchale was inadequate even if you got all the pieces together he would just be outcoached by whoever. GSW has three all stars and there are still several guys aside from the stars who can create for themselves and create for others on that team but I bet you would swear up and down Curry is just a great leader it's bullcrap.
Tracy also never had a season with the Rockets where he both had the right guys with him and was not injured.
Tinman just trying to distract attention from the abuse he got from his TMac threads by getting someone else to take the ****. Its a horrible way to try to win back cred, but well, what good can you expect out of Tinman.
Dream put in work at the University of Houston and then played 17 years with the Rockets Tell me when Harden has a relationship with the city of Houston that long. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Check out <a href="https://twitter.com/DR34M">@DR34M</a>'s playoff numbers in 1994 and 1995.<a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/ClutchCity?src=hash">#ClutchCity</a> premieres TONIGHT at 9 PM ET on NBA TV <a href="http://t.co/rElxc0bQMR">pic.twitter.com/rElxc0bQMR</a></p>— NBA TV (@NBATV) <a href="https://twitter.com/NBATV/status/608053443736018945">June 8, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">.<a href="https://twitter.com/steve21smith">@steve21smith</a> on the Hall of Famer and 1994 <a href="https://twitter.com/NBA">@NBA</a> MVP.<a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/ClutchCity?src=hash">#ClutchCity</a> premieres tonight at 9 PM ET on NBA TV <a href="http://t.co/50t4qhFgJ8">pic.twitter.com/50t4qhFgJ8</a></p>— NBA TV (@NBATV) <a href="https://twitter.com/NBATV/status/607955297135521792">June 8, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Oh by the way, you need to learn what LEADERSHIP means, here's video for you <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/V4fZ-IFGJ68" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
