Ted Cruz is the very joke that is driving the Republican Party to ruin: a self-professed sycophant who idealizes small conservative government while taking on his anti-thesis as his VP. Why defend him?

 

Sadly, he's the only hope Republicans have, if they nominate Trump, they'll almost certainly lose the house, senate, white house, and SCOTUS. Much like Hillary will be in the general election, Cruz is the best bad option.

Seems interesting that some of the reporting up until the last few days seemed to suggest Cruz was gaining ground, and there is even one Downs poll from 4/29 that put Cruz ahead, but most polls (ARG, Clout) and the more recent polls from NBC and Gravis show Trump building a comfortable lead.

Guessing the Downs poll is an outlier and Carly didn't help Cruz in IND.
