Jags Us Colts Titans in that order Debatable between us and Jags but I may be biased. Colts and Titans can be debated as well but I didn't like the Henry pick for the Titans at all
AFC probably had the best draft of any conference on paper but have to give it to the Jags. Take into account what they did in FA, they bolstered their front 7 as much as anyone could. Ramsey gives them a guy they could potentially stick on Hopkins, Hilton, or whatever WR comes their way.
ESPN 5. Texans buck trend The Houston Texans followed what might have been the smartest approach to a draft deep with defensive tackles. They didn't rush to take one, regardless of need. Instead, the Texans spent much of this draft accumulating options for new quarterback Brock Osweiler. They selected receivers in the first (Will Fuller) and third (Braxton Miller) rounds, and a running back (Tyler Ervin) in the fourth. Then, with their second selection of the fifth round, they grabbed defensive tackle D.J. Reader. Some might argue that the Texans missed out on the strength of this draft by looking elsewhere in the first four rounds. I'd suggest the opposite. They jumped on less-stocked positions when they could and then circled back to the hog mollies later. Intentional or by accident, it made perfect sense. http://espn.go.com/blog/nflnation/p...nly-week-1-qb-starter-and-lots-of-hog-mollies
Texans might have had the worst draft of their division. It's between them and the Colts. The Jaguars loaded up on defense and got quality talent. Titans had so many picks (10) and used most of them well - Conklin, Dodd, Henry, and Sharpe.
They got Demarco in a trade already and they had Andrews, Sankey who they drafted high, and David Cobb already. He also might have a short career by how often he will get hit in the knees
Game Changers: Miller, Fuller one-handed catches http://www.houstontexans.com/tv-med..._catches/065a5fd2-3c62-49df-bfed-dc4307f6e6f3
I'm just happy they didn't waste too many picks trading up. This year we should be reaping the benefits of the last two drafts, but six picks went to Nix and Strong. The draft was fun, but realistically Fuller and Martin will probably be the only major contributors. Anything more from rookies is a bonus.
Same here. I actually would have loved to see what they would have done with their 6th round pick. Reader has a good chance to get on the field. And if they are serious about getting fast, Miller will probably get on the field. I hear you though. It will be interesting to see what they do with all the WRs.
Curious....would anyone want Shawn Oakman or is he too big of a risk now? Seems like teams could be waiting to see how his case goes first.
He's off boards completely. It's his second incident like this and the fact that Baylor covered it up so he could play doesn't help.
Ya the Colts loaded up their OL which was obvious but thought they did a good job. Kelly is about as perfect of a fit you can get. Same with the Texans, we needed to add some weapons and Fuller/Miller are good picks (even thought I like the Miller pick much better). Martin is a plug and play C so that's 3 guys that could contribute early. Only pick I didn't like was Ervin.
Off Topic - Where could I see bets for over / under wins for NFL teams? & whats the best site to put the money up etc ?
Draftees aren't guaranteed successes, but think of how far our offense has come in <60 days.... Hopkins - to - Hopkins, Fuller, Brock, Miller, Miller, and Ervin And possibly upgraded @ Center I'm confident the coaching staff will maximize their talents.
