Valbuena can go ahead and join Gomez on the bench for awhile Either play Marwin full time or call up Moran
Seeing that Marwin is hitting .222 and has walked one damn time vs 15 Ks I'm good with the Moran plan Marwin is a good utility guy, but he has over a thousand mlb at bats, his on base is under .300 and he has a .680 OPS Marwin is NOT the answer for an everyday 3B if we want to turn this around
Eh, Valbuena was actually better in 2014 for the Cubs than last year, if only marginally He is still playing because we have no other legitimate option at 3B right now, until they are ready to bring up Moran....Which i'm hoping is any day now
You know he is so young Last year when he came up he was joining a team that was surprisingly on top of the world. It was like a dream for a kid like Carlos i'm sure.... As much as the 1 loss record has been talked about from last year, they also won a lot of games late, and ran around like children celebrating...couldn't be a much better atmosphere for a young kid to come into Now all of the sudden he is expected to be a centerpiece on a team with expectations, and there has been very little to celebrate. Not much so far to make them chase each other into centerfield after a walk off hit... This team badly needs a good streak to get that mojo you are talking about back. I think Carlos struggles could be greatly helped by a better atmosphere
Devenski hasn't pitched bad at all just one bad inning ! Too bad his teammates can't hit and get him a couple of runs !!!!
Well, Devenski has shown quite a bit of moxy settling down after the early struggles. I hope he comes back out for the 6th, but even if not getting us 5 innings after that start is pretty good Now for the love of everything baseball can we score a damn run
