i love how in the individual draftee's thread, almost 70% always agree with the draft pick. Definitely BOB's picks!

As soon as one shows up out of shape, rick smith da real bum! =)
One of these guys is going to be a star, two more are going to be good solid players, which is on par with what the great organizations do. Except those great organizations, got the only thing that makes them great 10 years ago(Uggs, rodgers, big ben.

If brock can keep us on the field, not stall the offense, we're winning 12 games. and with that defense, we have a chance. All of the sudden, every pick starts looking great.
with 12 wins, I see 6 automatic pro bowlers...Brown, Merciless, dhop,Miller, Joseph and clowney as a reserve. I feel like I forgot someone.

How I love the picks from most favorite to least favorite

    1. Nick Martin (I even picked it in our Clutchfans mock draft).
    2. Braxton Miller (3rd round is an appropriate spot for him. Should challenge Shorts and Mumph)
    3. Reader (Does what he does and does it well. Not as big as a need as TE and DE but great value)
    4. Fuller (mostly because of the Miller pick in the 3rd)
    5. Dillon (hopeful but i've been scarred by Swearinger)
    6. Ervin (I hope I'm wrong about him plus I didn't think this was that high of a need

Specifically what though? They have pass rush and the corners are solid as are the LB's. I mean, the offense may be more potent than the defense now but the defense should be pretty stout.

The corners are slow. It's been an issue for years. The linebackers are slowish. The pass rush isn't a quick hitting explosive pass rush but I'm hopeful clowney will be this year.

Yeah. Not sure if Covington is big enough and if he can play end. Joseph is great but nto as fast. Speed has never been Kareem's strength. They need an ILB sooner rather than later to groom as Cushing's replacement. Plus they could get younger and faster at that position.

Them being slow matters a lot less when you are getting to the QB and I think with a healthy Clowney and Mercilus finally being better than worthless and JJ Watt being what he is, that shouldn't be a problem. I just don't think the Texans were going to draft a CB that would start over KJax or Kevin Johnson so I don't see what they could have done there to make you happy Also they added a fast guy at safety.

Your linebackers are also set, you weren't going to draft someone to start over Cush and McKinney

I'm not criticizing the draft just looking forward. Next year will probably be an all defense draft lol

I'm concerned about depth in the secondary and lb corps . But I'm happy we added a bunch of potential playmakers . Any cap space left for more free agents ?

Probably not but maybe a guy that can cover on 3rd down, which was a big problem all season long.

I hope we pick up a TE, CB and DE in the aftermath of this draft, just to fill some needed holes, but wow, our offense just had a complete makeover. I think we are going to finally enjoy watching our offense take the field people!!!!!! After last year, this will be like we have died and gone to heaven.

Agreed. The Texans sure love their box safeties and you kinda wonder who will backup Hal with Demps, Allen, and Dillon all much better suited at SS. Ervin is somewhat of a head scratcher. With Miller, Blue, Grimes, Hilliard, and Hunt on the roster, you already have a wide range of RBs with different skill sets. Not sure where he fits in without 2-3 guys getting cut, traded, or practice squad.

Hilliard sucks. Total non factor. Blue isn't any good but at least they know he can be run into the ground without complaining. I'm surprised by the Ervin pick but I like him as a talent. Akeem hunt is probably in trouble.

Miller blue grimes Ervin or potentially cutting blue or grimes and going only three backs
