True, but we don't have enough picks to fill all our needs. The Texans need to find out if Osweiler is the real deal. The Texans are doing everything possible to surround Osweiler with the talent to succeed. Next year we can focus on defense.
so we have at least 6 WRs and 5 RBs (+1FB), are we going to trade a couple to get some 6 or 7 round picks?
I thought we needed a TE also. But, I think the Texans may be comfortable with what they have at TE. If our new receivers can stretch the field, then we may see the TE's being more productive.
I wonder if the team is a lot higher on Covington and Still than we are, they might think the D line is in good hands already.
Hopefully. Depending on where they like Covington, we are either without a starting DE or backup for Wilfork at the moment. With 2 5th rounders left, a minimum of 2 position groups will be left out when the draft is said and done.
For sure, I never thought there was a hole at OLB. I was wanting someone to take Crick's spot and potentially Wilfork's spot.
Same thing I was thinking, they seem to believe that both Still and Covington can hold down the holes on the defensive line
I'm getting antsy about our defense. I just remember how horrid our defense looked last season in the beginning.
Now that sounds awesome! Our offense is going to be so much more fun to watch! We haven't had an exciting offense since the days of the Warren Moon, and our Run and Shoot with our "Fab Four" of Drew Hill, Haywood Jeffries, Curtis Duncan, and Ernest Givens. What a difference a year makes!
Well Still was thought to have a super high ceiling before his daughter's illness derailed his career. Now that she beat the cancer, perhaps he realizes some of that potential, he's still fairly young.
Think they just want guys to fill specific roles, not worried about the complete package. Not a lot of redundancy with these guys.
