who's out for those 3 promotions? Kratz cut is easy. Then what.. Valbuena and Gomez cut? Hope you can get something in a trade? Would think you'd want both of them as insurance policies.

No, this is not like the Rockets season

It is more like the 3 years they lost 100+ games

Please, don't insult the Rockets by comparing them to these eff'n losers

Personally, I like Eury Perez. I think he might go .280/.340 with speed and above average defense.

Gomez is on the wrong side of 30 and if he can't hit for power or steal bases he is pretty worthless. Looking at his career splits though, he's just not a very good hitter. He's nowhere near as bad as Marisnick though, and Gattis/Valbuena/Tucker aren't much better, and they don't steal bases. I also think that the Astros pitching staff has grossly underperformed, and their hitting with runners in scoring position has been unsustainably bad. They will regroup I think, but what a gross month.

I went to sleep and just woke up having a bad nightmare. An alien (yes...the "Alien") was loose in my home but taking its time about feeding while hiding out. Then, as I was telling a few of my friends about it, it struck. I ran into a room and closed/locked the door. Apparently, a friend followed a few seconds behind me but was too late. He was knocking but he can't come in cause I was hiding in the room away from the door too scared. The alien got him and I had to listen to his horrible cries as the alien feasted on him. Then, I woke up and here I am. True story...the nightmare. Freaked me out!

Apparently, it was a metaphor dream for either Giles or Gomez. So, WTF did the latter do this time aside from "not much"?

Ok, lets go at it, what have i said wrong? Mostly what i say from him is right, and tonight, it shows.

Fro a long time i've said he mishandles relievers. Harris is our BEST RELIEVER, why he did not pitch tonight????? Ahhhh, right, because he uses Harris losing by 4, INCREDIBLE.

He does not have the stones to sit Gomez while he makes stupid mistakes on the bases that are COSTING GAMES.

I also said White needed a break a put Marwin. Yes, Marwin did not get a hit but surprise surprise, WE WON THAT GAME. Yesterday Marwin hit a double and drove a run.

Now my friend, tell me what am i wrong about ????

Hinch is a smart guy, will give you good post news conference, is good with they young guys on the team, BUT WILL NOT WIN GAMES. Why do we lose so many close games???? I remember a basketball coach once said, if we lose by 1 point i am responsible, if we lose by many the players are to blame.
Why do we lose so many close games???? Because the manager makes way too many mistakes.
One mistake that he did and i did not mentioned what Gattis had 2 very good games in a row, and Hinch sits him. Incredible. A guy struggling so much, has 2 good games in a row, and sit him???? At least he played yesterday and produced, AGAIN.
How long i've said Giles should NOT pitch in the 8th inning when leading????

    How many times????????????????

How many games have it cost us?????

Hinch is managing the SAME way as he did last year, THE SAME. He has not gone worse this year, is the same. HOW SOON WE FORGET SEPTEMBER 2015.

Hinch has had only 1 1/2 month of very good baseball, after that this team is sup .500 team.

And we did not beat the Royals because he screwed moves with the bullpen.

Yesterday i saw Cash, the manager of Tampa get thrown out of the game because he was defending his pitcher, Smyle as the pitcher thought the ump screwed him on some pitches and was demonstrative, the ump yield at the pitcher and Cash really got into the ump. Have we seen that from Hinch?

Well, i am sorry to see the team play so well tonight, Fiers, a pitcher that i've always liked did great, but the usual suspects, Giles-Hinch found a way to screw it. Now the question remains, why Hinch did not use Harris? Why is he NOT developing guys like Feliz to pitch in big times situation instead of Neshek?

Well, Hinch is Hinch, and sorry Kaled, but unfortunately i am right on Hinch, i would love to be wrong and this team going for 100 wins.

Last year we UNDERACHIEVE, yes, we did, all numbers showed we should had finished with better record, and this year, well, almost everyone had us winning the division, not last as we are.

And for the record, I've said i like Neshek vs righties, BUT NOT LEFTIES.

.174 and 0 homers, those are the numbers of the lefty that hit the homer agsint him. INCREDIBLE.

Last year i said i could not understand why we move Marisnick to play rf or lf when Gomez was playing with him as i believe Jake is BETTER defensively, another one for Hinch

On the Gomez trade, well we got Fiers who is a very good pitcher but still we gave a lot for him. Right now we have to see what happens with the guys given to the Brewers to judge that trade.
Now, the Giles trade i don't like. I am traditional, i prefer starters over relievers and i don't give 3 starter (i am not counting Obbie who was the fourth) for a reliever, and believe me, i did not know about the 1.20 whip before someone mentioned it in this forum.
I like VV a lot, last year i wanted him to be develop and be our 8th inning guy, never happened.
This year he is pitching good for the Phillies. He would be a nice number 3 starter in our rotation, and RIGHT now, with McCullers injured would have the best stuff for starters.
I also like Appel a lot, yes, he is underachieving but the stuff is there, if he is able to get consistent, he has the ceiling. I don't like that trade a bit.

If 2 of those starters do well, then this is going to be a very bad trade for the Astros unless Giles becomes an All Star reliever, and with what i've seen, that is not going to happen. A guy with a 1.20 whip as a reliever can't be an All Star.

Yes, the Rockets went to the playoffs, that Astros are worse team in AL right now.

we played a good game, hitting on RISP, until 2 idiots decided to rear their ugly game. we should have 12 wins without those 2 throwing away games.

Except that he has been very solid this year, until last night of course

Has Jake been down 10 days yet? If so I would bring him up and put him in CF for a while, Gomez to the bench

As for who gets sent down, 2/3 of the team are playing like crap. Wouldn't be tough to find someone to cut

Astros allowed 7 runs 11 hits against the worst offense in the AL.

    Pitiful and pathetic

In a league where more teams make the playoffs than those that don't... Rockets were / are trash. Barely made the playoffs...

Astros right now. :( seems like the forest half of last year was a fluke that made it appear they are ahead of schedule.

Still hoping for a turn around (long season), but they look really really bad.
