Mannix is just parroting what he has heard reported before. I don't remember him breaking a whole lot of news. He is going to be biased towards Boston since that is his home base. WOJ initially threw out the GSW option. And I think Amick followed with SA as a potential destination. Amick is also really the only national media person to connect Houston with Durant as it relates to Harden's friendship with Durant and the close bond there.
KD getting frustrated with his team's play and feeling like his time in OKC has run its course clearly could be a big factor.
Exactly. Head to the east and an easier path to the Finals and maybe you get lucky one year and only face one great west team and not 2-3. There is 0 0 0 chance KD comes to the Rockets because A) The Thunder are a way better team even without KD B) It's a **** show team that has no idea who is going to be back in the locker room or front office. KD to Boston.
No they wouldn't have, you can't just take their win total from last year and assume it would stay the same.....if you could then the Rockets would have won a lot more games.
much tougher year than this years down year. 45 wins is actually very respectable and easily would have made it this year. getting into the playoffs without a winning record is nothing to be proud of and it shows when that team gets demolished.
Almost being the important word, you can also substitute the words "couldn't" and "take" for "almost" and "took".
Who actually considers a team that makes the playoffs without a winning record a true playoff team. You have no business being there period. Thunder without KD are easily still better than Hou, Dal, &, Memphis in this years playoffs. WB still kept them afloat in one of the most competitive seasons last year in the West. easily better then only 3 significant teams in the west this year.

Boston has moves to make to even get into the discussion. When they make those moves then we worry about it. Right now the Rockets are a very attractive option for a player that wants to win and put his mark on winning. Of course if he wants to go to a ready made situation like the Spurs or GSW then we don't have a shot. If he wants the most money then we don't have a shot. But if he wants to be the face of a franchise and LEAD a team to championships then Houston should be his choice.
47 win season then making the big 3 w/ the best player in the league to get to almost 60 wins. Not much of a surprise
