You're agreeing w CHARLES F'ING BARKLEY. I know we've told you this before but that's not a good look for you buddy. Instead of convincing yourself that his opinion somehow validates yours you may want to consider reassessing your thought process. Unless, of course, you're telling harden he needs to let offensive juggernauts like Trevor "can't dribble, drive or even consistently hit threes" ariza, Patrick "no offensive skills outside of hitting uncontested 3's" Beverly or dwight "refuses to pick n roll and wants to act like a post up threat even though he has ZERO post game is a total foul shooting liability" Howard get more run. It's just mind blowing that anyone can watch this team and think Harden is anywhere close to the biggest problem. tl;dr you're an idiot.
Harden declined in all those meaures from last year too. Thanks for making my point that he's worse this year
You should never make an argument based on something Barkley says. Harden is our PG and primary scorer and he's 3rd in assists and 2nd in scoring... Our problem is our crappy 2nd and 3rd options that we keep trying to trot out. Harden can pass you the ball, but you have to be able to put it in the hole.
Why is it that Harden only fans, are so sensitive about any criticism of him, he needs to work on things too, his turnovers are too high, his defense is non existent, he can get better. And no one said he was the biggest problem stop jumping to conclusions moron. DD
hahahahahahahahahahahha so now we have to drop it to 25? Why? Your quote clearly stated: So how can a player with a 25% usage rating be close to Harden's 32.5% usage rating? and now you're bringing up his rookie year as a comparison? his usage rating that year was 20.4% which isn't even close to his usage rating this year. I don't insult a lot of members on this board but you, sir, are a joke and anyone using advance statistics on this board should be embarrassed by your lack of comprehension and eagerness to copy and paste excerpts from books . hahahahha "lets drop it to 25% so it'll fit my argument" hahahahahahaha
Still didn't answer why we should use Ortg, which is heavily influenced by team performance, than PER, OWS, ORPM, OBPM, etc.
LOL. If the roles were reversed and Curry played on the Rockets and Harden played on the Warriors we'd pretty much see the same results we see now. In fact, Curry would be playing worse and Harden would have more assists and happy with passing the ball because his teammates WOULD MAKE SHOTS ALL DAY LONG
Told you..... Love or Hate Barkley... He has been dead on with his assessment of the Rockets... So has Kenny, Shaq and Mike Fratello.. T_Man
and then you say it's not impressive that he's among the ELITE of the NBA HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHHAA
Yes and he also said that GS couldn't win last year because they were a jump shooting team. He's also now said that he doesn't think that GS can win this year because every team that they played last year wasn't at full strength. NBA tracks dribbles and the stats are available. Harden dribbles less than almost any primary ball handler in the league. That's a fact and it's not really debatable. Likewise, you can look at possession time and you'll see that Harden is near the bottom of the league in average time per possession and total possession time in a game for any primary ball handler. If you or Barkley thinks that Harden screws up other players rythm then you must hate Chris Paul since he holds the ball much longer than Harden and dribbles more per possession. If a hall of famer says something that is factually incorrect then why would anyone need to listen?
I am not a fan of Chris Paul and he is one of the main reasons his teams fall short in the playoffs. Barkley is a hall of famer and he is right. DD
Russell Westbrook 115 Lebron James 116 Kyle Lowry 115 Paul George 107 Demar DeRozan 113 Damian Lillard 113 Klay Thompson 112 DeMarcus Cousins 103 Anthony Davis 110 Why, all these guys must have sucked at offense this year since they have or worse than Harden's Ortg right?
2015-2016 Ortg Russell Westbrook 115 Lebron James 116 Kyle Lowry 115 Paul George 107 Demar DeRozan 113 Damian Lillard 113 Klay Thompson 112 DeMarcus Cousins 103 Anthony Davis 110 wow, all these guys must have sucked at offense this year since they have similar or worse Ortg than Harden's right?
So Barkley wouldn't want to play with Harden because nobody wants to watch him dribble, dribble, dribble ... I'm speechless.
Yes he didn't have as good a year as last year but he's still one of the elite players in the league. Likewise Durant didn't play as well as he did in him MVP year, ditto for Lebron. Anthony Davis hasn't played as well as last season. Curry likely won't have as good of a year next year. But those guys are all still the best players in the league. If you're going to blame a player because they don't have the best season of their career every year then you're going to be disappointed most of the time.
And who else on this team hasn't? Does Harden have to play at a MVP level every freakin' single year to get this team working? I don't think even MJ did that?
Exactly. Remind me why the NBA established the rule against isolating with the other 4 players on the opposite side of the court? You know, the "Barkley Rule". Nothing was more fun than watching Olajuwon and Drexler stand on the opposite side of the court while Barkley backed his man down from the wing all the way to the basket.
