Ump is carrying out a vendetta now. Everything is a strike for Mariner pitchers

Big inning for Giles there. Confidence booster, that slider is still filth. Just needs to locate it consistently.

I'd also like to see Giles throw his fastball up and see if he gets guys to chase. For me not enough diliberate fastballs up to go with slider down.

Fair enough. Now can the Astros string together two wins in a row?

Altuve and Rasmus have been unbelievable for this team. Great sign seeing Giles getting out of trouble. I hope Gomez will be alright.

The hand injury could be a blessing in disguise for Gomez. We can bench him for a few days without "benching him" in the demotion sense. Maybe a few days to get his mind right because his approach is just terrible right now. Can we call Jake back up this quickly?

Altuve is playing like an MVP right now, it is fun to watch. He is lacing the ball, not just making decent contact that falls in.

Wins have been so far in between, each one seems like a small miracle.

Glad McHugh had a decent enough game. We need him pitching like a #3, minimum.

Altuve is really coming of age with the slugging and walks. A great, yet difficult combination to execute. He's already respected among fans and around the league. A true star and possible MVP if we turn around the season.

Agree on Altuve, and if he becomes smart in the bases, he will be the real leader for this young Astros team.
