Love reading these opposing team comments about how great they played. Do they not know they are playing the second worst team in baseball right now? Every opposing starting pitcher looks like a Cy Young award winner regardless of if they had a 7 ERA coming into the game or whatever. Cure your ails by facing this weak hitting Astros lineup. Then, move on to the next series and the opposing team is no longer looking like a World Series contender.
Was pretty bad last year in here and we were having a magical season Some people just prefer to look at only the negative, it's their nature Then when we play such crappy baseball and it makes it incredibly easy for them
http://www.houstonchronicle.com/spo...arlos-Gomez-s-problems-compounded-7377579.php. So apparently it was Gomez's decision to steal second.
If ya gotta pay to read I'll have to sit it out No way I'm paying to read the chrons garbage Gomez is proving to be a 100% complete idiot
The day we get rid of Gomez and his "I kiss my muscles after getting a hit, but my average is under .200", I will clap loudly. Arrogant, overrated, small minded player. And Castro, dude needs to go. Our catchers collectively are hitting around .100. Not hitting 5-9, we have three pitchers who would be another teams #5 starter at best, this is just one hot mess. Lunhow has a LOT of work to do.
When a manager is unable to "manage" and instead player do whatever they want, i think we need ANOTHER MANAGER that will manage because at the end, he is the responsible on success or lack of it from the team.
Team does need several changes without a doubt But if Keuchel doesn't pitch like an ace and if Correa doesn't play like a super star the rest won't likely matter
After our hot start (18-7) last year, we went 68-69 the rest of the way. And of course 74-84 since then if you include our miserable start to this season. So yeah, aside from our 14-1 hot streak in April and May of last year, we're 78-90...
He only has a half of a roster to work with. The other half is hot garbage right now. Get off of it already...Joe freaking Torre couldn't do anything to help this team with the 6-9 hitters (both starters and bench) batting a collective .205.
http://www.chron.com/sports/astros/...e-Chris-Devenski-a-start-Saturday-7377376.php Devenski over Feldman. Good step
Our team is bad, yes i agree, but is not the worse in the AL, sorry, but we are UNDERACHIEVERS. Same last year, we had a much better team that record reflected. We lost the series with KC because he did not move the relievers correctly. Hinch has many positive things, but he also makes way too many mistakes. He is a good manager on interviews. dealing with the kids and so on, but he makes way too many mistakes handling pitchers, with lineups and game situation. Look, he put us in position where we did not had a third baseman and first baseman if we tied the game in the 9th, how can that happen? Those things happen in inning 16, not in 9th. But, if you like him, good for you, but i see way too many holes and this year i don't see improvement. The "same" team is regressing.
^^Don't discount that Hinch also helped get us to the ALDS. You can't place blame without also giving credit. The same guy had the same team overachieve last year. Until the roster changes and they drop some of the dead weight, his hands are kind of tied.
Who's hot garbage? Was Gomez and Gattis hot garbage before they came here? Was Castro hot garbage 2 years ago? Is White hot garbage? Marwin? Is Correa,Springer,Altuve,Rasmus? Yeah this team has regressed and I would have to say Hinch has to bare alot of the responsibilty although his supporting cast may not be helping him out alot either namely Pettis.
we aren't the only ones that bought the hype, Vegas had this team tied with the Nats as the favorite to win the AL
