A slow Friday afternoon thread. There have been a lot of very attractive Australian stars such as Naomi Watts and Nicole Kidman who have made it big in Hollywood along with some new stars such as Margot Robbie and Alice Eve. Game of Thrones and Downton Abbey have been getting a lot of exposure for beautiful Brits such as Emilia Clarke and Natalie Dormer. At the same time the SyFy Channel has been an outlet for a steady stream of comely Canucks like Tricia Helfer and Grace Park. Of course this isn't just limited to female actresses but for the ladies of Clutchfans there is just as much eye candy in the non-US English speaking World. Aussies like Chris Hemsworth, Brits like Kit Harrington, and Canadians like Cas Anver. So out of the English speaking world outside of the US who does Clutchfans like? [EDIT] Added a choices for nativist.
I no longer vote in non-public polls unless Clutch starts them. I am on a mission. (UK - more of them)
y u no spain? the wifey started watching this series called, "time in between seams" it moves 1/2 slower than downton abbey but the female lead kept me interested to the final minute.
Have you seen Gran Hotel? Velvet? There's another that takes place during the Spanish Civil War, but I've forgotten it's name. The heroine is a fashion designer who becomes a spy. (not kidding - the Spanish are crazy!) My significant other became addicted to them. They make American soaps seem like child's play. I'm a little afraid to tell her about this one. Is it on Netflix?
Nothing against Espana but this is a thread for primarily English speaking countries. Maybe we could do another thread for actors from Spanish speaking countries. For example Spain vs Mexico vs Colombia.
I didn't truly appreciate Javier Bardem in No Country for Old Men; it wasn't until I saw the contrast in movies like Vicky Cristina Barcelona and Biutiful that I really started to appreciate him. Can't wait to seem him play Escobar. And despite the inevitable horse comments, I've always had the hots for his wife.
saw gran hotel, loved it. the photo i posted is from the fashion spy one:grin: prettiest actress I've seen all month. Was her character based on a true story? maybe it was just inspired by coco chanel's days as a 'natzi' spy. Have to catch velvet next. so this thread won't get derailed: for my aussie entrance-Clare Bowen from "Nashville" no aussie comes close, except for isla fisher and rose byme. canadian: Robin scherbatski, elisha cuthbert. Uk: Rachel weisz, lilly collins. I did vote america f yeah though.
