Correa has shown to be very clutch.

Who thought we'd be missing Chris Carter. Ugh, team can't wait too long before making some kind of changes. It's one thing to let one bat find their way at the beginning of the season (ala Gattis last year), but not 3 or 4. Especially when pitching is questionable.

Ha.. & while we're at it, like most of us are already thinking on here, I'd definitely get Devinksi more involved.

Time to fire Hinch! Morey says he's lost the locker room.

Only game 17. Morey would have waited 5 more games. :p

Hinch: "I think their p----d off. I think they're frustrated." | "You're not going to break this team." | "We’ve gotten punched in the face a little bit these first few weeks, but we’ll respond."

Since starting last season 27-14, the Astros are 64-74.

Carter won't fix Catcher, Gomez, 3B, or the starting pitching.

I don't miss Carter one bit. I'd take Tyler White all day. Carter is a .218 career hitter, he'll come back down to earth soon enough.

Ha, true but Carter would be helping this team considering he's producing more offensively than Gomez, Valbuena, Castro, and Gattis combined. I'm just shocked at how bad this team is playing overall, and how some individual players look like they don't belong at this level.

Usually Carter starts slowly but this time he is doing good. Now, Carter had no position with this team as white and Reed are ahead of him. As dh I take Carter over Gattis, but I still think Evan will help us as a catcher

Not a lot of positive history for our hitters vs Buchholz. Gomez and Valbuena have both homered and had a little success in a tiny sample size, so maybe those two can get something positive today.

White probably needed a day off at this point. Would be really nice to get a W today.

Oh that silly Hinch, he will never learn until he gets fired. Does anyone else see the pattern here? Players leave and get better, players come here and get worse.

The team is really undisciplined on the bases without a doubt, and some of the fielding issues are bad too. I know it's the players that have to make better decisions, but when it is so widespread the manager and coaches have to bear some responsibility for that for sure

    BUT

What players played for Hinch here, and have gone elsewhere to be so much better though?

I'm assuming you will say Carter? Let me know if he keeps up that .250 average he currently has

    Kazmir? He has been bad

Villar? Has not gotten off to a good start hitting, and his running errors certainly haven't gotten better as he has been chuncked out on the bases 3 times already

Am interested to see who all of these players are that were bad for Hinch, and have gotten so much better elsewhere, so thanks in advance

    5-9 Really

Tucker had the nice first road trip, but he is 3-20 since with 6 Ks, he has really been struggling.

As I mentioned earlier, Gomez and Valbuena are the only two guys on the roster who have had any success against Buchholz (very limited sample size) so hopefully they can get something positive going today.

People can hate Gomez and Valbuena all they want, but we are going to need for them to get going if we want to turn this thing around. I would like to see Jake play more in CF, but honestly he isn't likely a long term answer as an offensive player. And what other options do we have at 3B right now? Marwin is struggling, and Moran isn't off to a great start at AAA (Duffy is off to a terrible start down there too)...

So like it or not, our best chance at getting something going right now is for Gomez and Buena to get something positive going, neither have shown any signs of it, but both are very capable
