We should only take one second to get the card in to the commissioner.

Bigger and stronger than D-hop. A sure fire chain mover and a mismatch red zone threat. You say that about strong like he didn't see the field till late in the season. We can not and should not depend on strong or shorts for that matter with his injury history.

Having 2 Nuk Hopkins' would be amazing....you can find a slot guy anywhere. With Nuk Treadwell and Strong you could have 3 guys who can be open even when they aren't open. Slot receivers and return guys are a dime a dozen.

Rick Smith said in his press conference that last year there weren't many players in the later rounds that could help the team, so they needed to trade up into the earlier rounds,

but he does not feel that way this year, says they can get players in later rounds that can help team

That's good, because Nix and Strong have definitely helped so far

If Coleman or Fuller is there at 22 and we select a WR and it is Treadwell we messed up. He is only the 5th best WR in the draft and as noted above we already have Strong to fill that WR spot.

He was wrong. They are just not good evaluators.

Pharaoh Cooper over Treadwell AND Sterling Shepard?!?

    Glad you're no GM.

    I'd say something like this:

    Doctson
    Treadwell
    Shepard
    Coleman
    Miller
    Boyd

The first four being extremely close and interchangeable depending on type of WR you're looking for. Clearly, you're valuing speed over anything else, so I'm think that's messed with your rankings.

    Pharoh Cooper.
Historically, wide receivers with a high number of rushing attempts in college tend to also have low yards per reception numbers, because these receivers are likely to be involved in the short passing game as well. Although high numbers of rushing attempts and high yards per reception numbers correlate to NFL success, few wide receivers have both. Pharoh Cooper bucks this trend. Cooper posted an impressive 15.7 yards per catch, even while rushing the football more than 60 times for the Gamecocks in his final season.

    I have Doctson 3rd???

Sterling Sheppard had an impressive NFL combine performance. However, like Carroo, he enters the NFL draft as a senior. Most of his receiving numbers in college were a little worse than Carroo's, and his yards per reception rate was much worse. Sheppard will probably be overdrafted by a team that overvalues players from large programs in competitive conferences.

Treadwell's rate statistics are not particularly impressive. Treadwell's best season was his junior year, when he recorded 1,153 yards and 11 touchdowns. Those are certainly fine numbers for a college wide receiver, but fall short of the numbers most highly drafted NFL wide receivers produce. For example, Amari Cooper produced 1,727 yards and 16 touchdowns in his final season, even though his team passed less than Treadwell's team did. As another example, Nelson Agholor, who was considered only a fringe first-round prospect, put up 1,313 yards and 12 touchdowns in his final season on a team that also passed less than Treadwell's. Treadwell's career yards per reception is also a below-average 11.8 yards per catch, although that number did improve as his college career progressed. Possession receivers in college rarely pan out in the NFL, and Treadwell did not have the rushing attempts that would mark him as the kind of "jack of all trades" wide receiver that sometimes succeeds in the NFL despite low yards per reception numbers.

Wr blah blah blah. Give me Ryan Kelly or Hunter Henry. You could most likely trade back a few spots, still get one of the two and gain an extra pick. I know Wr is a need, but I don't see a must have elite Wr in this draft. If I had to take one it would be Doctson or Treadwell. Not Coleman or Fuller.

I really think we can get one of the 6 in the 2nd. If not we can move up if we really want an impact WR. I think Strong will make an improvement from last year and will produce.

Games are won between the trenches. We really need to grab one of these DTs in the 1st. I mean Wilford can't play forever... or can he?

Trade back. This team needs to maximize bullets in the chamber for all the blanks that Rick Smith is about to shoot.

I think if we were to trade back, we could get both Hunter Henry, one of the WRs, or one of the top DTs. I wouldn't be opposed to that. Depends on what's out there though, that 22nd pick isn't sexy by any means.
