It's only a few exhibition games to prepare for the Olympics and then like what 6-8 games in the Olympics? And he would probably average 20-24mpg max. It's really not that big of a deal if his back is ok. However, he could really use some constant minutes at a high level throughout the year to get him back into good game shape and shake all of that rust off.
The good - A couple of charges, couple of 3's and a clutch block on Thompson. The bad - bunch of missed post shots, terrible defense besides his couple of charges and block, he got blow by every play it was painful to watch.
he had second best % in the game (5-11) 5of boards, while his direct op Green had 3-9, zero off boards and 7 to's. Is that really considered bad D?
There's actually like 7-10 exibition games I think, can't exactly recall the number. But, yeah, you're right that he wouldn't play more than 25 minutes since the team has other great players at that position. I wish he could just dedicate all the time for his improvement and getting back to shape physically but at the same time playing at high level might do some more good.
DMO is the only one on this team with which Harden has any consistent chemistry on the pNr. He is the only one who consistently sets decent picks, understands how long to hold that pick, when to roll, has the skill set to make a play for someone else when he receives the ball, the skill set (albeit rusty) to score the ball. If harden is the franchise player, then DMO should be brought back next season. He is the only guy who truly and consistently facilitates ball and body movement on offense. I don't care what anyone says, the psyche of this team and defensive effort level is based on how the offense is going.
Good catch. It's a tiny detail, but it's awesome -- later in the 2 min. video folks, Kerr sitting on his bench. It shouldn't be surprising. The scouting report should tell everyone that dude can stroke open set shots from there.
D-Mo gets blown by by Green constantly, so have to put him on Speights rather. I also hate that underhanded pass, but he played very well. Set good screens, got rebounds, had some post ups and those threes!!!
There are another (non scoring) D-mo smart plays drom game 3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuBUYo8DGnY
It's a shame that basketball IQ doesn't show up on the statsheet. DMo would be one of league leaders.
Don't like those bounce passes most of the time but that one was an exception. I don't think Capela could have caught that pass...
Who put up that video missed the one where he screams at Terry to move to the corner on his screen, eventually Terry got ball & hit the three.
I was one of the people upset the Detroit trade got rescinded, but considering he was instrumental in today's win I think keeping was worth it, you don't really want to get swept when you're about to chase big name FAs. Sorry DMo, I was wrong about you! Lol
Here was/is my point, we are not going to get a better player with the 12th pick than DMO - especially during Harden's prime. So, I would rather roll with DMo and build around Harden. DD
Um except you can use your otherwise unavailable cap space on a better player and have the pick as well.
Having a big guy that knows what he's doing is critical. Even if he isn't scoring he's setting solid picks and making a wall of presence that helps the half court set. More impressive is that he runs on transition and can move. Capela isn't on this level yet. I think if Dwight leaves Montejunas can play the 5 with Capela backing him up. Dwight's cap space will make room for sign a star pf and cheap C.
yes. here is extended version absolutely love the last episode. actually d-mo called and made play
