Not a problem for GSW. It is not the offense. It is the players and execution.

Good find, OP. Good for JVG...The NBA needds him back. I wonder why Cyber's sources suggest that JVG wants little to do with Les or the Rockets. Interesting, either way.

I never thought JVG was uninterested in the Rockets job. He's one of the few coaches/personalities that always recognizes our guys in a positive light. His broadcasts are always supportive of the team and mgmt.

He's also very supportive of JB, which is a smart PR move, but ears tend to believe that he genuinely respects the job JB has done.

With the JVG as the coach, Howard may return to the team with a reasonable contract.

Yes, I want to say the same thing. We know that right now, it is a pure PR move to say great thing for JB from JVG since he has been interesting in this job for a while.

If Durant magically signs, I would be fine with JVG. Otherwise, we need a more creative coach.

Surprised to hear just how directly Les hires and fires coaches. I hope this time around he gives Morey a listen.

I am sure Les listens to Morey and values his feedback. But the buck stops with Les.

Seems like if he gave Morey more of a listen, then JVG is going to be our next coach.

Guessing it'll come down to if Les and JVG can compromise with another on the team's offense/defense philosophies.

    I like JVG
He would not be my first choice but I would not be overly pissed

I see him forcing DMo down low like he did Yao
With DMo's back I'd be concerned

Can he get Capela to do the same . . . I don't think Capela will ever get lower body strength to bang for 30+ minutes a game

That strategy is really hurting GSW and the Spurs...
The problem is our roster and the poor coaching, not the 3pt strategy itself.

Morey gave an interview 2 or so months ago that to me, sounded like he wanted to give Kerr a shot over McHale but that nothing came of it. I wonder if Les had anything to do with it. Kerr wasn't exactly an Alexander type hire.

The offensive system is fine(although more movement wouldn't hurt). It's the personnel that's the problem. The Rockets got a ton of open looks last night, but they don't have reliable shooters who can knock them down.
