    Anyone seen this yet?

I thought it was very good -- probably most enjoyable scary movie I've seen since the Babadook. I saw The Witch in the theatres and thought it was awful -- but apparently everyone else loved it. Found Hush to be WAY better.

I saw it this past weekend and I thought it was alright, never really did much for me. Reminded me of The Strangers or the French film that it ripped off Them....

I loved The Witch by the way....

I watched it. Thought it was half-assed directed and produced. Where the hell was the blood on the deck? It was shot pretty well though. Id give it 5/10.

I'm quite aware I'm the weird one here -- but man I thought The Witch sucked! It wasn't scary, suspenseful, and the ending was terrible (of course, all my opinion) -- but for some reason everyone loves that movie.

I thought Hush was really suspenseful and enjoyed it thoroughly -- looks like I'm out on another island here. I have no idea what I would've done in her place.

Just saw Hush this past weekend. Enjoyed it. A few obvious moments, like...

Use of fire detector/alarm to "even the playing field"

and a few dopey ones, like

Took too long for the friend's boyfriend to figure out the guy was not a cop... um guy with neck tattoo is a cop?

But really well done and enjoyed it a lot.

One question that I don't think was ever answered...

Why was the guy there anyway? Did they give a report of a crazy guy escaped from jail? They showed he had notches on his cross bow, but that seemed to just say he killed before. btw, crazy guy wondering around with a cross bow?

It was ok. Didn't like that
the killer removed his mask 20 minutes into the flick.

I loved the Witch. Clearly a divisive movie!

Looking forward to watching this, as well. Might give it a watch tonight.

I think the killer was definitely creepier in the mask. However, removing the mask seemed to humanize him and almost make it creepier. If he kept the mask on for the entire film, it would've been a Halloween vibe - guy in mask we never see hunts down people. Removing the mask allowed you to see the face of the psychopath and IMO improved the quality of the flick.

Babadook was fantastic. I saw the witch and enjoyed it but no where near as much as Babadook. Will give Hush a shot, been hearing good things.

Just watched it today with the wife. We both thought it was ok, not great. I still don't understand why the whole ex boyfriend angle was presented at the beginning as it was never elaborated on.
