I don't think so. Now if he were to be "banned" for rarely providing anything to back up his posts, for incoherence, for immaturity, for posting outright lies (probably unintentional in his case due to a lack of the ability to recognize a lie when it is staring him in the face), or for simply god-awful writing skills, I'd be more inclined to vote yes. Of course, those standards would toss a significant portion of those who post here.
What? Did you read what you posted. I'm going to take your first example which you titled with all caps "DEBUNKED" It was about Trump's lie that 47,000 Veterans died while awaiting benefits. This is what that YOU POSTED said. They know how many veterans died, but even the report you posted admitted they don't know if these were veterans died while their benefits were pending. That is from the link you posted. It says they have no idea! That doesn't prove Trump told the truth, buddy. Everyone knows that The veterans administration had problems. You should apologize for wasting our time with claims that don't back up what you say. You did it with Trump's most illegal immigrants are rapists lie, and I already pointed that out to you. This has already been posted. But maybe you should watch it again. It shows plenty of Trumps lies. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/DnpO_RTSNmQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>I don't have time to show you why all the other one link posts you made don't really show Trump wasn't lying at all. But I will let you pick any two of them, and I will explain why they don't back up your wish that Trump wasn't lying. Just put both links in ONE POST, and I will be happy to continue our discussion. It doesn't matter which two.
RocketsLegend faints... http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2016/04/trump-opposes-north-carolina-bathroom-bill.html
I side with Trump on this one. I don't understand the need to preempt on these issues (either way). Houston had attempted to pass an ordinance that was just the opposite of this North Carolina law, but I don't see the need to have either kind of ordinance. [rQUOTEr]Trump offers support for bathroom access based on gender identity Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump sided on Thursday with those criticizing a controversial new North Carolina law requiring transgender people to use government and school bathrooms that correspond with the sex on their birth certificate. Trump said the law was unnecessary and people should be allowed to use whichever bathroom feels appropriate. "Leave it the way it is," he said during a town hall on NBC's Today show. "There have been very few complaints the way it is," added Trump, who is front-runner to be the Republican presidential nominee in November's election.[/rQUOTEr]
His pivot to the middle is beginning. It is going to be spectacular! It will be the best pivot you have ever seen!
Nobody pivots like him. He is the best pivoter in the history of pivoting. Millions and millions of people will love the pivot.
I got my response over the weekend, but been lazy about sharing it back. His experience is mostly in Maine. Here's a couple of points -- I don't want to c&p his response because it has personal stuff too: * Essentially, his conclusion is that the national body would have little leverage on local party organizations on decision-making regarding delegates. * State parties get most of their funds from local donors. Delegates travel to the national convention at their own expense. So, money isn't an effective lever for the RNC. * Local party bosses are also elected and following orders from national would be punished by local party regulars. Meanwhile, regulars skew traditional conservative (like Cruz) while casual or newcomer Republican voters (which skew Trump) are not active in the party functions. Regulars can vote out local leadership while Trump-Republicans are not involved enough to punish them. * It boils down to the fact that Trump isn't a true Republican, doesn't enjoy much goodwill among those most engaged, and does not have enough local people dedicated to promoting him.
I'm not that surprised as Trump has taken moderate or even liberal positions on some social issues before. He's been all over the map regarding abortion. That said I'm less worried about Trump's particular positions than on himself. He will pivot to the middle in the general election but his campaign is still based on a cult of personality which won't change in the general.
This matches up with some of the things I heard. My business partner is a local GOP party activist and in 2008 was a Congressional District chair. Ron Paul supporters tried to take over the local party including taking over delegates but they lacked both the organization and staying power to displace the more traditional Republicans who ran the local party. By 2012 all of the Ron Paul supporters were no longer engaged in the local party.
I heard on the Dianne Rheams show that 10% of French are Muslim and 70% of the prison population is Muslim. Remind me again, why should we care what "the world", and in particular Europe, thinks about the US political process and its candidates?
Trump has been all over the map on his positions. Pivoting is what he does from one day to the next. What I am waiting to see is when his base will catch up to the guy. IF he gets elected, he is not going to nor can he get any of the things he said done. Of course Trump will blame it on the Democrats and Republicans. His base is stupid but how long can they be fooled? Hard to say.
This could be considered a libertarian position if he's against forcing establishments to build newer restrooms.
