No, I don't.... the players union would have a major issue with stashing players on the DL with fake injuries due to them underperforming. Benching them, sure... but the only way Kemp gets up here is by getting somebody off the active roster.

Happens often in other sports... not much in baseball.

Next is Altuve, i don't mind him hitting in that spot with men on first and third and less than 2 outs.

But, having a waste at bat by Castro, with 1 out, and the catcher that looks like a pitcher with a bat hitting, thats a second out.

Yes, maybe it works with Castro, but the odds are against it, why Hinch hopes for miracles? Why he hopes to go against the numbers????? Why is Castro catching so much? Why we did not do anything to acquire a back up catcher? Instead we let go Conger???? Not that Conger is great, or good but at least is better than Kratz, and serviceable as a left handed hitter. We did not do a good job of getting BETTER this offseason, thats the truth. We needed a number 2 or 3 starter, we got a number 5.

We needed a closer and we got a set up.

We needed a backup, we did nothing.

We needed improvement at third base, and we traded Lowrie and nothing.

We were very LUCKY that White hit the way he did because we GAVE the job to Singleton but he was so bad and White hit good and took the job. But, White is more of a DH, not a first baseman, already has 3 errors at 1b.

Our bullpen only has 1 lefty, but we prefer to keep Fields instead of getting another good lefty.

No wonder we are 5 and 10

Maybe we can use an injury about his head.

No one can make so many mistakes at the bases, and swing the way he does and be completely "healthy".

Pablo Sandoval was mysteriously placed of DL. If Gomez wants to complain about it to the players union I wouldn't mind seeing them trying to trade him for a bag of chips at this point. He can't be playing everyday at this point I do know that.

If you want to recount what has happened before, then fine. But if you or anyone else is insinuating that that bolt of lightning is going to strike twice, that is absurd. That kind of turnaround optimistically could maybe happen once every 30 years. Maybe only once per century. But to use that year as some sort of litmus test to say everything is fine now is just misplaced.

I am not onboard with the sarcastic notion given by some that we are doomed. But I sure hope on the other hand that things haven't gotten so Polyanna around here that there isn't reason for concern. Perhaps even reason enough for change.

Didi getting benched for sloppy base running.
Girardi is a very good manager.

Now, for the Astros who is playing cf tonight?

    Girardi better than Hinch?

Can't we just give Gomez back to Milwaukee for Lucroy? I mean they've got Santana, Villar, Carter, Nottingham and whoever else. Villar has a .400 obp and even Carter is hitting .240 Don't they feel the least bit guilty? And how bout the Phillies? Can't they take back Singleton and give us a decent minor league Catcher? At least we got Cy Sneed from the Brewers.

With all due respect, that team had an incredible pitching staff led by Clemens, Pettitte, and Oswalt. It's DK and everyone else so far this year although Fister should be placed a little higher than 5 from what I've seen thus far.

My point is don't overreact. The season is far too young for statements like "Fire AJ Hinch."

Your point would be better served in response to someone who actually said that.

A lot of people wanted him fired last year. Especially during the collapse. If Astros lose to the Yankees or get swept by the Royals, a lot of people probably would have still wanted Hinch fired. I think looking good in the postseason fans let it go because they knew ownership wouldn't fire him at that point anyways. It might be too early to fire him this season but some people wanted him replaced before the season started so it's kind've eh...
