She exposed classified (now) information over unsecured channels and no one is making that up.

She went hard after Snowden for doing the same thing. Her words, "Snowden shouldn’t come home without facing the music."

She should be forced to face the music as well and we'll see what the FBI will come up with. At the very least she showed extremely poor judgement, lack of awareness.

You shouldn't be called a nutcase because you believe that.

Intent is irrelevant with these charges, it's what you did, they don't care about why you did it. If you mishandle classified information, you mishandled classified information. Also, I think it's fair to expect ANYONE with a security clearance to know that you can't tell someone to strip classification off of documents and send them through unclassified means. I think it's also fair to expect anyone with a security clearance to know that you can't send classified information or have classified information sent to an unsecured private server. A basic briefing over the rules would make that abundantly clear.

I'm not sure she'll actually pay for her crimes, but she absolutely broke the law habitually and I don't care if she did it out of convenience or if she did it in order to go around FOIA requests or just as a control freak. It's something that pretty much anyone else would be arrested for. Just the one instance of trying to get someone to strip classification from a document and send it via unclassified means is enough to get an indictment and a conviction if she was a normal person, we'll see if people high in the administration cover for her or if justice is served.

You are responding to a post that spells out exactly what crimes she's committed....If you can't read and understand, I can't help you.

She committed no crime. Had she, she would be under investigation, which the FBI has clearly stated she is not.

Poor judgement - yes. But to say that she committed a crime? That shows ignorance of the law - and thus the nutcase label.

No. Clinton kept records on a private server for her personal use. Snowden disclosed documents to an organization with the intent that they be publicly and indiscriminately disclosed because he wanted US secrets to be known to the world. Or you can think of what she has done to be negligent or maybe grossly negligent while what Snowden did was completely intentional and malicious. That's not the same thing.

Legally, it is. Intent is irrelevant when it comes to mishandling classified information and materials.

I think you will be disappointed with how this turns out, there are too many layers i.e. culpability, damage or lack thereof, resistance to find the President-elect guilty of charges at very high levels, timing of classification etc.

But the good news is the GOP can b**** about it for the next 5 years and run an endless investigation.

Give me a break, ignorance of the law does not make someone a nutcase. Pride is preventing you from admitting you were wrong in using that term to define lack of knowledge or understanding.

That level of pride can make someone narcissistic which at high levels can be defined as a mental illness. That would make you the nutcase

I don't believe that. Bring some support if you want to convince anyone.

It appears even more now that the election will be between these two. I find it very hard to believe that Trump made it this far. So I guess I should at least give him a 1% chance or so of beating H Clinton B Clinton and Obama.

Does anyone find it odd that Obama will be speaking for her? Bush sure as hell wasn't doing it for McCain after his 8 years in office.

Bush was the equivalent of nuclear waste during the 2008 election.

One likely to be in court facing fraud charges, one possibly facing charges related to mishandling classified information unless the Obama DOJ blocks it.

It's true though. The fact that these two national embarrassments are likely to win the major party nominations for president is an absolute disgrace.

Bobbythegreat should just go ahead and move out of the country . I mean, America is clearly going to blow up in smokes next year given that both of these candidates are devils incarnate who will destroy life as we know it.

Don't be ridiculous, that's not how it happens, it's much slower than that. Just because both candidates are total embarrassments and this election will lead to bad things for the country doesn't mean that things will immediately turn into a Micheal Bay movie.
